Summer has finally arrived! The sun has melted the snows in the north and the southern territories are beginning to grow uncomfortably hot and dry. Pups are being born and life seems to finally be getting back to normal after the cure for the disease was found. But how long will it last?
The cure has been found! Wolves on Anikira are recovering from the disease and life is moving forward with the promise of pups in many packs. And yet darkness looms on the horizon, daring the creatures of Anikira to relax and allow themselves to get comfortable once more.
The vast basin of R'imdar encompasses nearly half of the island of Tas'alea. The drainage from the heavily rained island congregates here, and the geysers developed with the arrival of the gross amount of seismic activity. The former lava bridge is the neutral point for transit between Tas'alea and Anikira.
South of the geyser fields of Lyeina, there lies a cave whose mouth is guarded by thick, gray water. Due to the geothermal activity of the surrounding territory and the water at its entryway, this cave spouts steam at all hours of the night and day, earning it the name Dragon's Mouth. There is enough room inside for multiple wolves to gather, though the steam and temperature inside make it an uncomfortable place to take shelter during the warmer months of the year.
The southeastern beaches of the Delia Basin drain out into the geyser fields of R'imdar. The water here steams and boils at all hours of the day and night, too hot to drink and too hostile for most plants and animals to call home. The sand here is gray and gritty, warmed by the nearby geysers. Though the water may be too hot to swim at the water's edge, the temperature gradually cools as it nears the center of the Basin, becoming more hospitable to aquatic life.
Scattered across the western region of Delia Basin, the volcanic activity created a hot spot. Geysers spew copious amounts of blazing hot steam into the air at random intervals throughout the day. There are a variety of sizes, and some of the geysers are not very pronounced. These small geysers are mere cracks in the earth that, if not careful, can scald an unsuspecting wolf as they walk by.
What once served as a land bridge between Tas'alea and Anikira now remains as the tired remains of the previous volcanic eruption. Though lava has filled in around the bridge, there are still various crevices and pools formed by the new lava flow. The curious wolf might even find a nook to serve as a shelter. The cracks now serve as a home to many small critters driven out by the eruption.
In an effort to provide the least restrictve roleplaying environment available, Anikira and their staff have moved the community to the Proboards paid forums. This forum allows unlimited writing freedom to members, as well as an ad-free environment and our ability to customize the forum and its ratings/content however we choose! In order to do so, we will require your help! There is a monthly cost associated with this service, and any and all donations toward this goal are appreciated. Please use the PayPal link below for all donations for Anikira maintenance and moving costs. We look forward to a roleplaying environment where the sky is the limit!
Please note the donation page is listed under Uru's name as it cannot be listed otherwise without a business account. All funds associated with this PayPal account will be used directly for the maintenance and costs of Anikira as our roleplaying forum.
Jaidah is one of the albinos on the site, a brand new character brought to life by a brand new player. It is interesting to see how such a pure looking being could be wrapped up in the angsty claws that is Irkalla! We will definitely be staying in-tune with this character to see just what heights Bird is able to take her!
