Step 1
Welcome to Anikira! We are happy to have you here, and we would love to make your first experience with us as fun and easy as possible! This is a short guide to help you get started, though if there is anything that you do not understand or have questions on, please do not hesitate to contact any of our staff members – we are always happy to help! There is also a brief "Quiz" that new members can participate in to earn some extra points to get started with!

Step 2
There is a lot of information to sift through on our site, so below is a list of where to go first and in what order to proceed through everything else. It is important to read through and gather as much information as you can before you post your character biography in order to avoid mistakes and help you get role-playing with us as soon as possible.
(These are not all of the links with information on our site, but they are the best place to start for a first time member! Feel free to go above and beyond and read everything else in the General Information section. ^.^ It will never hurt to make sure that you're fully informed!)
Step 3
Now that you’ve read up on our general information, it is time to create your first character! There are several different wolf breeds to choose from, so we recommend that you visit our Wolf Species thread to decide on which breed fits you the best! Also, there are several packs on our site, so you might want to head to the Pack Registry to check out the adoptable characters as well! (please note, if you decide to create an adoptable character from a pack, you will need to send an audition to the pack leader’s main account and receive permission from them to adopt and create the character BEFORE you post a biography.)
If you are creating a character from scratch, please follow the standards in the Breeds thread. If you are having trouble creating your biography, we recommend you visit our Character Creation Guide for a bit of guidance on creating your first character.
Once you have decided on your breed and character, please create your biography using the Biography Form and post it in the Sacred Lives main forum section. A staff member will then look over your biography and either ask you to change things, or accept it and move it to The Select Few.
Once your biography is accepted, you are free to begin role-playing! (Pack adoptables will need to be accepted in character by the pack alpha unless they are pups born into the pack.)

- Rules - These are the most important part of our site and help everyone get along and enjoy the role-play! - Literacy Help & Standards - Anikira is an advanced role-play, which means that there are some literacy standards that we do our best to uphold during the role-play. We are also committed to helping our members be the best writers they can be, so we also offer a way to help those that might need a little guidance to reach an advanced role-playing level. If you would like to participate in this guidance or have some questions about literacy, please do not hesitate to contact one of our Administrators.
- Role-play Etiquette - As stated above, Anikira is an advanced role-play. This also means that we expect all of our members to use proper etiquette when writing and responding to posts. Please read up on our expectations and standards before jumping in!
