As many of you have noticed, the boards for the mainland of Anikira are now live. This milestone marks the official start to our move back to the continent. There are a few plot-related things you should be aware of prior to reading this thread—I will address those first.
- Eroan, the Harbinger of Foeir faction, has declared the war back on against the Siniath faction after his daughter turned-coat. Read the full thread here.
- Eroan called a meeting of the Anikiran alphas who were on his land. He told them about an ancient tunnel that the Creators (the conservation scientists) used to travel between Anikira and the Southern Isles. The tunnel is accessed in the center of Ardem Forest, on Mogiya Island. Read the full thread here.

WHAT IS THE TUNNEL LIKE? All wolves must enter the tunnels and walk to Anikira. It is made of glass and steel, and the air is regulated by several pumps. Wolves will be able to see into the ocean from inside it, but it will get very dark in the night. The tunnel is extremely long and narrow, fitting just two- to three-wolves wide, and would take about 24 hours at a brisk trot without pausing for rest or sleep. In short? This is one long journey, and one that will certainly not be altogether pleasant. Various packs will be in small quarters, and tensions might grow.
IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO GET TO THE CONTINENT OTHER THAN THE TUNNEL? The current pulls down from Anikira towards the Isles, so swimming there would be arduous and horrible, and lead to an almost certain underwater grave. Unless your wolf can sprout wings and fly… take the tunnel, Bob.
WHAT’S THE CONTINENT LIKE? Go ahead, check it out for yourself! Our large map files with all territories written in their proper locations are located HERE.
WHO IS MOVING BACK? In short: everyone. If your wolf does not exit through the tunnel, they will be frozen on the Southern Isles, and will be unplayable for the foreseeable future.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO NON-ISLES WOLVES? After this, you may be asking yourself: how does my wolf find out about the tunnel? You have a few options as a non-Isles wolf.
- Wait for your pack alpha to post a thread to regroup and move towards Mogiya and to the tunnels.
- Thread with a wolf from Foeir or Siniath faction to tell them about the tunnel’s location.
- Ghost an NPC wolf from Foeir or Siniath faction to tell them about the tunnel’s location (loners only).
- Have your wolf spy on the second thread above to hear the information about the tunnel’s location.
- See other Anikiran wolves moving towards one location and follow, not knowing that there is a tunnel there.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ISLES WOLVES? If you play an Isles wolf, you can follow any of the above instructions—but you also have unique scenarios. If you wish to keep your Isles wolf and your Isles Wolf slot (if you gleaned it from the raffle), your wolf must leave through the tunnel as well, or (as mentioned before) remain frozen on the Isles for the foreseeable future. Your wolf can follow any of the above options (leaving independently, ghosting threads, etc), but can also:
- Be of Foeir, know about the tunnel after posting in the Foeir faction meeting thread, and leave through it independently, or by other means.
- Be of Siniath, know about the tunnel after posting in the Siniath faction meeting thread (is not posted yet; will be posted soon), and leave through it independently, or by other means.
- Stay on the Isles to fight the opposing faction (get frozen).
- Be killed in the war (forfeit Isles Wolf slot, if gleaned through the raffle).
VERY IMPORTANT: YOUR WOLF MUST FIND OUT ABOUT THE TUNNEL IN-CHARACTER! This means that you must make an in-character post either with your pack, an Isles wolf, another wolf who knows about the tunnel, or a ghosted character who tells them (if your wolf is a loner). Even if you are ghosting an NPC to tell your character, it must be written out. No metagaming here. Your wolf also must post a return thread in Waryck Jungle. This must also be done IN-CHARACTER.
Q: How long do we have to leave the Isles? make it through the tunnels? post on Anikira?
A: Each character should wrap up threads on the Isles at this point. No new threads unrelated to the move should be made. While there is no dead set timeline, understand that we are essentially relying on the activity of the members to make their posts in a timely manner. We’d like to shut down the Isles boards as soon as possible, and we can’t do that until all the wolves are through!
Q: Should I make a post for my character’s first day on Anikira?
A: Yes; you should make, at minimum, one post for each step of the way. There are two main steps here: finding out about the tunnel, and resurfacing on Anikira.
Q: Do we roleplay travelling through the tunnel? Where in Anikira will the wolves appear?
A: Yes and no. Is there a board for the tunnel? No. But feel free to ghost roleplay in the tunnel on Kal’dyne, the region where the tunnel will exit. The wolves will exit the tunnel via a cave that leads into Waryck Jungle.
Q: Will the tunnel remain open?
A: No. The tunnel is owned and maintained by the conservationists, and they will close the airlocks, so to speak, after our wolves pass through.
Q: Should this be covered in the histories of pups? How will they be travelling to Anikira?
A: This should be covered in histories. They will either walk or be carried, depending on their age and mobility. I have opted to call it “The Great Migration” in my pup’s history—perhaps you will chose the same name?
Q: Will the packs be traveling together if they were not initially together on the Isles?
A: It is up to each individual pack as to how they get through the tunnels. Most packs are together at this point, though, so logically they will travel together.
Q: What happened to the wildlife? What has changed in the terrain? Has it gotten significantly different?
A: The whole world has changed! New territory lines have been etched away naturally, and conservationists have introduced a whole host of new animals and plants for your wolf to discover. The disease is eradicated (for now…) and the world is born anew. Take a look at the map to see changes; that link is above.
Q: What should new characters (created during the move) do?
A: At this point, any new OC (as in, one who washes up on the shore/was born off the continent) should appear on the shores of Anikira. Any new OC who was born on the continent should use their best judgement on how they were born. If they are old enough, they would have been born on Anikira, transported to the Southern Isles via tranq dart, and then returned through the tunnels in their history. For characters who are young enough, they can assume that their parents were the ones who were transported and then travelled back through the tunnel.
Q: If I get an Isles Wolf slot in the future, how should they get to Anikira? Should they include this new war in their histories if they come into play at a later date?
A: The conservationists can open and close the tunnel at will. It will close shortly after our Anikiran wolves (and those Isles wolves moving to the mainland) cross through it. It is possible that an Isles wolf could wash up on the Anikiran mainland nearly drowned, or through other means… please speak to the staff at time of creation to find the best possible scenario for your new Isles baby.
Q: Once our wolves get back to Anikira, should we roleplay them across every territory to get home?
A: No; we will allow ghosting to get back to packlands after the initial post in Waryck Jungle—just account for the time it would take to travel. However, feel free to explore the new lands and wildlife around your wolf on the way—always remember to enjoy the ride! ;D
