"Speech" thoughts
So far, Nain was paradise, or what she had seen of it anyways. Sana Sarsys was calm and peaceful, and while sleeping out in the open was far from ideal, it felt safe being on the high ground. Now it was time to see what else Nain had in store for them, Asa had been founded, and this was now their home. Home..... the word had been so foreign to her before....as a lone wolf, home was nowhere truely, there was always a pack that came along, or a larger wolf, to come and lay claim on the land ahe had once occupied. As a loner nothing was truely yours.....and now, this, all of this...these lands......these wolves....they were hers, and she was theres.....the thought was simultaneously heavy and freeing. They came with responsibilities she had never had before, but with it came friends, family, others who would protect and care for you as you do them. It was still so much to get used to.
Imani decended the plateau, stepping through the stoney gates, and found herself sitting at the maw of Nabooru, the heat from the morning sun warming her back as her golden eyes stared into its darkness. Imani knew no religion, but one word resonated in her mind....Demon.... Nabooru was a beautiful demon, seductive and dangerous, calling for you to enter her darkness where she can consume you in her treachery. Imani was not scared of much....she had almost forgotten the feeling, but Nabooru was quick to remind her. It also called to her curiosity.....just what lie inside of the darkness? What made its home within the bamboo and conifers?
There was only one way for her to learn of its secrets, one way to find out if Nabooru would truely eat her whole.....and that was to step inside its maw....but the blonde femme did not feel ready to face the darkness, and certainly not alone.....another feeling that had once been foreign to her. Imani longed for company, for someone to step with her into the unknown, to protect her as she protected them.....something she had not had since she was a pup, and even then she was unsure if she was considered worthy of such a thing.....being female and all.
So there Imani sat, golden eyes staring into the abyss....and wondering if Nabooru herself was staring back.
