It's Only Forever [READ ONLY] May 21, 2017 22:21:17 GMT -6

Another day dawned in his kingdom. It would be a good day; he could feel as much in his very bones. The wind whispered it sweetly to him, brought the truth of it to rest across his pelt like a soft second coat. Something, or someone, would be along soon to relieve the Goblin King of his boredom.
And Jareth was bored. Dreadfully so.
The journey across Anikira had been long enough to make him desire the simple comfort of his own little island, but now that he had returned and reclaimed what was his, Jareth found himself rather wishing he had been less eager to return to his hidden oceanic sanctuary. There had been so many lovely new faces to see, though of course he had been too wise to approach any of them; none had traveled alone long enough for him to have made any decent effort at encouraging them to visit his little kingdom. Still... there had been faces there.
Here, for too many consecutive days, there had been no one. Only the Goblin King atop his throne.
Ah, but he listened now to the wind, and it called him along to the water's edge, whispering sweet promises of a newcomer. Lost, it sang to him, twirling around him like a dancer, no, like a courtesan, soft and sweet and coy. He had always so loved the wind.
He did not so much follow his little lovely as he allowed it to lead him along. Jareth was nothing if not a courteous lover; he could bear to be indulgent. In fact, he rather found he enjoyed playing along with the wind - and any other treat who chanced upon his realm, for that matter.
Such a treat, the wind promised - and the ocean echoed it, purring with anticipation. Friend, or foe? A treat either way.
Jareth smiled and felt his steps become quicker and higher, felt them land with more purpose even as he flitted lightly across the sand. A friend, or a foe. He would be pleased with the presence of either - though he rather dearly hoped it would be the former.
What good was it to be the Goblin King if he had no treats to welcome into his domain?
He found his visitor a the water's edge - alone, lovely. Male, but that had never bothered Jareth very much. The stranger was a pleasing one to look at, the lines of him soft and his coloration more so. Jareth had always been drawn to the soft-seeming ones.
His paws carried him gently across the sand; the wind and the ocean hid his approach, keeping his scent from reaching the other wolf until he stood at the man's shoulder, close enough that their pelts brushed as the stranger turned to face him.
"Hello, dear one," the Goblin King said in his most gracious tone. "You're a new face here. Are you lost?"_____

Please note that the exact mode of death will be murder following failed seduction. If that theme bothers you in any way, skip over this thread.
