With the coming of fall, Cryothia had grown even colder than it originally was when Bambi first washed up there and few wolves were chosing to stay within its boundaries. Yet, even still, it remained Bambi’s favorite place to be. She enjoyed the feel of soft powdery snow under her paws, the sun reflecting off the ice, at least to her, was a breathtaking sight. The wobbly penguins made for some amusing company. The lack of pack mates and the natural silence of the land allowed Bambi to have ample time with her thoughts to figure out how she had appeared her, where her family was, and how she was going to get back. Plus, as an added bonus, with a coat as thick as hers, even in the middle of fall, she was still comfortable being surrounded by nothing but snow and ice. Really, she didn’t think she would ever want to be anywhere else.
Though most of the time, the she wolf was perfectly fine being the only wolf around, she was still prone to feelings of loneliness. Afterall, after making her daily four laps around the icy tundra and not once seeing a face other than her own in the ice’s reflection, how was she supposed to feel. It was for that reason that she had decided to go stroll through the trees that marked the line between her pack’s two territories. She knew few wolves would share her opinion of wanting to stay with the ice and snow but perhaps staying along the edge of Shyia, she could catch the scent of a nearby wolf whom she could go converse with. At least, she hoped that’s what would happen. If not, she would have no choice but to return back to her den and settle in for the night for even now the sun was beginning to set in the horizon.
