Even after the meeting that he had had with the leader of Khalsa, Król was still not entirely prepared to return home. In his current mental state, he thought it unwise to return to lands that constantly reminded him of his failures- the fading scent markers, the small numbers within Sethos even months after it had first made its home within Xisyn- and he desperately sought out some semblance of solitude in that moment, something that might be able to repair his frazzled nerves and restore some semblance of a good mood to him before he made the journey back to his own pack. The fragile state of Sethos was bringing bad memories to the forefront of his mind, and the last thing Król wanted to do was to lash out or accidentally reveal the details of his past to any members of the pack.
It was bad enough that Selene knew what had transpired between him and Jewel (though he knew better than to think she'd ever use such information against him). He'd rather pluck his own eyeballs out than reveal such information to Far or the others.
The fact that these lands were relatively isolated helped him to deal with his emotions, however, and no matter how infuriatingly full of life they were compared to Xisyn, they were still quite breathtaking in terms of scenery once one allowed themselves to slow down and take in the sights. The canyon that he now found himself in was one such sight, filled with rocky crags that offered a multitude of vantage points- and ambush opportunities- for any wolves that happened to be passing through the area. Multiple caves strewn throughout offered shelter from the rather oppressive heat of the southern lands, something which Król fully intended to take advantage of once he was finished with his self-made task of scouting out the area and seeing whether it might be suitable for Sethos to extend its reach into one day. So far, he was pleased by what he saw- the lands may not have been as harsh as Xisyn, but if Sethos could secure a hold over more territory, they might be able to gain a foothold and finally start gaining members.
Finally starting to feel the affects of his long journey, Król allowed himself to sink down into a seated position on a low-hanging crag that jutted out over the bottom of the canyon, gazing out at his surroundings while keeping a careful eye on just how high the sun was beginning to draw into the sky. The Thilas knew that he would have to seek shelter soon, before the oppressive heat started to get the better of him- but for now, he was content to simply enjoy his solitude, content in the knowledge that more troublesome thoughts were being pushed to the back of his mind for the time-being.
