[attr="class","pltxt"] Again came her barrage of insults against him and his kind, as if he was completely to blame for all of her woes and ails. It angered him that she had been hurt by the hands of her father, but he would not take the blame for it. Nor would he allow her to try and blame his people for her father's obvious insanity and warmongering. He would have found some other reason to cast her out to strike her down. He didn't believe that she had done anything for him. If she had really acted to save him and his people then she would not have been missing for so many months. If she really cared like she claimed to then what had kept her away from so long. She wanted to lob all of her guilt at him for leaving her family, for leaving her lands. Things he had never asked or expected of her. Did she really think his kind so weak and piteous that they couldn't fight Eroan off? Obviously for it was all his fault that she had suffered so much. "So everything is my fault. All of your actions were for me? You had no one else in mind when you stood up to your father?"
It was a bold lie, one he was not going to believe. Despite that he did feel guilty for all she had suffered just so that he could make his way home. Most of his family had returned safely because of the help given by the Isles wolves. It had taken many months for Hyperion to learn to trust them, but now Kairos had embraced those who had fled from Eroan's wrath. Just like he would embrace Lily if she would allow him. Instead of wallowing in her own self-pity he would offer her something more to build her life with. "I think about a lot more than me Lily. I think about you. I think about my family and my pack. I had no idea what you went through to help save my people. For that I will thank you. I will not, however, be held responsible for the choices you made even if they were made from a good heart."
Lily would never understand all that he had done for his pack on their return and even after. Nor would he ever truly realize the pain that came from her leaving her family and her lands forever. Hyperion could not sympathize with her on anything more than having a bastard for a father. In that respect they were far to similar. Where does this leave us Lily? I want you and you want me but what? We are both too stubborn to look past each other's faults?" He could understand that she was angry, he was angry as well, but would they turn from each other in anger. Leave all this hate where it rested.
