History:
Lisanna was not exactly born into love. The pup was brought into the world in a dark room, hidden away from others and tucked into a corner of the barn where the humans kept her mother. Her mother - who's name she never learned - was a breeder, a female used for her genes and her physical attributes to provide pups for her owners to sell. Although she was the only of her kind on the farm, she was used infrequently to ensure that her litters were strong and healthy regardless of their mother's talents. Lisanna was part of a large litter, with three sisters and two brothers, all that were a mixture of red merle, and tri coloring because of the mixture between their parents coloring. But they would not be allowed to grow accustomed to each other. By the age of eight weeks, once they were old enough to be weaned from their mother's milk, they began to be sold.
One by one, Lisanna's siblings were sold to the humans that visited constantly. But Lisanna was never chosen. Or at least that was what she thought. Little did she know, she was to be kept on the farm and used as a working dog instead. As she grew older she was separated from her mother, who would be used for breeding again soon and needed to focus on her duties and responsibilities without her daughter as a distraction. Lisanna began her rigorous training early. As soon as she could, she was trained to chase small animals and herd them into groups, and eventually she came to love her duties. By the time she was full grown she was herding sheep for her owners, and she was even entered into a number of competitions as well. She placed well, but never good enough to win a blue ribbon.
But she did her job well, and when her mother's next litter was old enough, she began training her younger brother, a tri colored pup, to herd as well. By the middle of her second year of life, her brother had easily out shined her. She was locked away and sold because she was no longer needed. Where she was headed, she did not know, but she was given a tranquilizer to keep her calm on the trip. The next thing she knew she was being released from her cage on a massive ship, for the transporters believed her to be cute and wanted to give her attention. She, of course, loved the praise and petting, but before she knew what was happening, she was thrown to the side as their ship was hit by a rogue wave. She was thrown into the water only moments later, and all she could think to do was kick.
After what felt like hours, she spotted land up ahead. Little did she know this was an island with no humans, and with creatures she had never before seen in her life. She nearly passed out when she finally managed to drag herself up onto the shore, and she laid still for several hours wondering whether she would live or die. This was Anikira. She knew nothing of the place, but she would learn soon, or she would surely perish.
Personality:
Lisanna is the perfect definition of an Australian Shepherd personality. She is friendly and sweet, and can often be quite bubbly at times as well. She is rather naive, and though she is very talented in herding and doing what she has been trained to do, she has few skills otherwise. She is, however, a fast learner. She loves to learn new things and to step out of her comfort zone, and she adores adventure. Every day is a chance to learn something new, and though she can be clumsy at times, it is rare to see her upset because of it. It is hard to bring this little female down, and though she does not sport a hardened heart, it is still a difficult thing to break.
Perhaps it is because she is not exactly the brightest, but she means well. She has a large heart and loves quickly, just about as quickly as she trusts. As she grows older she will surely grow smarter, but not quite as quickly as necessary. Being born into a life of a working dog, the shepherd knows only service and shelter, and she is completely incapable of surviving on her own. She relies completely on those around her to take care of her, and this tends to get her into trouble from time to time. However, she has her sweet personality and her pretty appearance on her side, which are some of the only things keeping her alive sometimes.
