Lorem, ipsum,
Crystal blue eyes blinked open as the rays of sunlight warmed up her face. She immediately noticed a figure standing not too far away from her and tried to focus here eyes on it while they adjusted to the light.
It was him.
Standing in front of her was someone that she had known since the day she was born. It was her father.
Knowing that him being here was impossible caused Yara to blink her eyes a few more times since she was convinced that she was seeing things. She had to be dreaming because this just wasn’t possible. No matter how many times she blinked her eyes, he was still there.
This can’t be.
He wasn’t going away and Yara didn’t know what to do. She had watch her father take his last breath yet he was here looking very much alive.
How is this possible?
Reluctantly she eventually got up from where she had been sleeping and started to carefully approach the figure. As she grew closer, her father didn’t move an inch, it seemed like he was patiently waiting for her. Yara got as close as she dared and stood still. She didn’t know what she was suppose to do or if this was even real.
“Dad?” She said meekly, not knowing whether she was supposed to expect a response or not.
“Yara,” the figure spoke back to her in her father’s voice.
The figure not only looked like him but it also sounded like Severus. His image looked and sounded like Severus.
Am I going crazy?
Up until this moment, Yara thought that she was a sane individual but what was going on in front of her eyes made her question that. No one in her family had any mental issues so why would she and why was this just happening now?
She began to inch closer and cautiously used her front right paw to briefly tap the figure to see if it was solid. When she made contact, what she felt surprised her. The figure was solid and warm as if it was alive. She could feel him breathing and could have sworn that she felt a heartbeat. When she retracted her paw back to her, she took a couple steps back because she couldn’t comprehend what was going on.
“Don’t be scared.” Her father spoke.
How was she not supposed to be scared? She was almost standing face to face with her father that she had just watch die a few days ago. It was impossible for him to be back.
“I saw you die so how are you here right now? Am I dreaming?” That was still the only explanation she could think of.
“I did and no you aren’t dreaming. I’m here in spirit because I couldn’t let go of how I wasn’t the greatest father even up until my death. I guess that’s why I’m still here, to try and be the father I never was” Severus said softly.
Yara shook her head violently. She couldn’t believe anything that he was saying. All of these words were lies and were just a part of her dream.
“None of this is real,” she screamed.
“Calm down Yara. It might take you awhile to believe it but all of this is real”
Yara was getting too frustrated so the only thing she could think of was to walk away and hopefully she would wake up soon.
“You truly were a shit father,” she said before she left.
