He strolls. | "He vocalizes." | He wonders.
Meeting other dogs was interesting, especially when the others looked nothing like himself. He was tall, lanky, short-coated.. and the others well, not so much. Masyn was lanky, like he was but not to the same extent. He had a long coat though, as elegant as it was, Kahlel wondered if it felt hot. Or was he more cool because of it? He did not know, and maybe in the future, he would discover it - but now it was a time to wander. He wanted to see more of this whole new world. His nostrils flared open, taking in each new scent as he trudged through the lands. His massive paws took each their own step, stepping on grasses, rocks, and bushes alike. His tail swung back and forth behind him, relaxed and at peace. The large dog continued in his path until he heard the sound of something quite strange.
Lifting up his head so quickly, one of his ears flopped over to expose the soft pink inside. He tilted his head ever so gently to the side as he stared forward. What is it? I must see it. Away he dashed, faster than he had allowed himself to run. Along with the strange sounds, came strange smells. His eyes were centered on the lands, seeking them as he finally was exposed to the large body of water. His eyes grew wide as he came to a dead halt, sliding in the sand. Clumps of sand clung to his paws with each step. What was this place? The water came up towards his paws, but did not touch him, so he moved closer. As the gulf pulled the water back towards it, little creatures could be seen scurrying about the sands. Tilting his head more drastically, he pushed his nose against the tiny things and soon the water enveloped over his snout.
Taking a step back, he snorted the water out of his nose and shook his head. It was cold, and did not feel or smell like fresh water. Confused by this water, Kahlel knew nothing else to do. He responded by wishing to scare the waves away. Letting out a powerful and deep bark, he barked up and down the shore as he chased the waves to and fro. The tiny fur along his spine stood at the tallest height it could reach.
