Across the land a soft glow illuminated as the sun started it's rise into the sky, and the moon took her place for the day. Lyra's soft orange eyes sparkled with the glow, and her small, rounded paws carried her across the land that held a barren air to it. Though she knew it was growing back, as opposed to dying - or at least, that's what she gathered. Perhaps it wouldn't grow further than this at all? A small frown marred her delicate, thin features at the thought the land would stay barren. Certainly it would not? Life had the tendency to grow back. Lyra decided that yes, it would grow back, and one day she would return here and take a look at it in all of it's glory.
A gentle sigh escaped her mouth as her tummy rumbled with a short growl, and Lyra knew it had been a while since she had managed to grab a bite to eat. It seemed that prey was not too plentiful in this land, it wasn't as if she were the best hunter, her talents laying in plants and medicine, but she still had hoped that there would be more to scavange than what was actually there. Lyra's large ears perked as she heard a bird squawk in the air, and for a moment, the girl paused as her eyes trailed to the bird that flew through the molten sky. It was so lovely, a sunrise and a sunset just held such beautiful colours, and Lyra would forever be floored by it's existence.
The coywolf settled her rump down on the cool sandy earth, her tail tucking against her haunches as she watched the sunrise in the distance. Someday, she would watch it in the place that was her home. For now, she was a lonely vagabond.
