Returning from the mountains of the Oriens had been met with a slight hesitation. It had been nice to have just been normal, outside of Eden for one moment. No responsibility -- but Shekinah had chosen this. She had chosen to fight for her spot as leader, to convince Than that she was ready and able. So she didn't complain, even if her shoulders hurt from the weight. It was what she wanted, what she had been born for - even if Than hadn't ever originally thought so - and she took it in a stride.

She would always choose Tiayr, though, no matter what she saw outside of it. She had ventured through lands to get back to Tiayr when the humans had released her, and they had been pretty, certainly, but to Shekinah, nothing could compare to her home. Her children had been born here, like her, and they were growing here, too. Ileana had taken to being a little sick, keeping her in the small den that Shekinah had kept them in the first few weeks of their lives. Tiberius... Tiberius was as boisterous and lively as ever, and ever since he had stuck his tongue to the frozen lake, Shekinah had wondered if he were ever going to grow up. Though, she wished nonetheless that he remained as youthful as possible. It would do him no good to grow up too soon like she had done. She wanted him to enjoy his youth, but he seemed to want to bring trouble with all that he did.

Being brought out of her thoughts by her name being called and a string of words following after, Shekinah lifted her head curiously, ears erect upon her head as she paused in her patrol. It was Zelus -- he had returned. Trotting to where his voice had come from, she smiled warmly upon seeing his tall form there in the snow and a hare at his feet. "You're home," she greeted him as she stopped, tail wagging slowly behind her. He had done something so lovely, taking her message to Kairos that they had blood in Eden in the form of Tiberius and Ileana.

"I hope it wasn't too difficult to journey through the snow," Shekinah mused, "it was rather relentless." Though she paused for the moment, did the South even get snow? She resisted the urge to jump immediately down his throat with questions, her paw moving through the snow with slight nerves. Had he given the message directly to Typhon? Had the father been angry? Did he want to steal away her children? From their... encounter, Shekinah had not got that vibe from him, though she had certainly gotten other things -- but really, she had no true merit to his personality, did she?

Though she chose to remain positive, hoping Typhon had been understanding of the news; though she knew it was likely to be quite the shock to find out that you were now a father of two. Looking at the white patched male quietly, Shekinah was out of character with her silence. But, she was nervous and hesitant to ask, so she let it go at his pace, letting him divulge any information when he wanted to.

She smiled softly at him and his thoughtfulness to bring her some food. "You're the one who went on a long journey, Zelus. Treat yourself, though I thank you nonetheless," Kinah said gratefully, nudging the rabbit with her paw towards him -- he deserved that and more after the snow and task he had taken on for her. She would not lie, she was nervous for what news he brought. Though perhaps she needn't be, surely if it were bad news, he'd be less jovial than what he was presenting himself to be. She didn't think him a wolf to lie to her, even with his expressions. Yet still, Shekinah braced herself for the worst. She knew what it meant to Tiberius, what his father meant, but she wasn't sure if she could handle the rejection on his behalf if the news that Zelus brought were that of avoidance, or even blatant dismissal.

Ileana was a gentler matter. She didn't seem to wonder too much about her father, how could she? She had been fighting an illness since for nearly as long as her young life. She had more things to focus on than that, but Shekinah thought that perhaps even just hearing word of acknowledgement from Typhon would be enough for the moment. "And Eden has missed you," she commented softly, "it always feels strange when one of the family is away from home." Shekinah mused, it was not something she would limit, any wolf of Eden was free to explore and venture as much as they wanted, but her heart always felt warmer when she knew that they were at home.

"You should have seen the snow from the hilltops," she sighed wistfully, recalling the beautiful scene it had painted, especially with the sparkle of the sun glistening across the surface. Shekinah laughed with ease, "I'm biased, but I also agree with you," it delighted her to know how much he loved Tiayr, despite it not being his home for too long. It was not long before the thought of Typhon and Kairos re-entered her mind and Shekinah sobered, looking at him quietly.

"I think it's time for business," the Chief almost dreaded it, but it was something that had to be done. To be spoken of. She had been preparing herself for this day, though once upon a time she had imagined it to be herself that ventured to Kairos to find Typhon, to tell him of what they created on that passionate day. He had been her first and since, her only, and Shekinah supposed that would always hold something for her. He was the father of her children, too, and she had hoped that perhaps they could be friends despite the distance of their homes.

Whatever Zelus had to say, she knew was the truth. She only hoped that for the sake of her children, it was more positive than negative.
