He strolls. | "He vocalizes." | He wonders.
Winter had hit the lands hard, harder than they ever had. His coat, no matter how hard it tried - it could not protect him from the elements. Every single day he was cold and he could feel it deep within his bones. They rattled inside of his body. With every breath he exhaled, he could see it in the air. He had not been trained to hunt, to kill for his life. He was starving, he was tired, and he was cold. This was not the way to live his life. He knew that he needed to have some water to drink, but where could he go? His heart was beating slowly in his chest. He moved from the cover of the caves against his better judgement. He needed to drink or he would surely die. The large male made his way through the snow lands, and would soon find the water he wanted.
It was ice cold and chilling to the bone, more so than the rest of the world. He leaned down and licked the ice chilling water. It was not enough. There was salt in the water, which was actually dehydrating him more. So he drank and drank. The waves rocked back and forth, coming onto the shore and pulling it out beneath him. A large gust of wind rocked him off his paws. he was far too tired to get up from that, even when the icy water started to consume his body. Waves rushed over his face and his weight plus exhaustion pulled him deeper and deeper. Soon he could not breathe any longer. The world started to go dark, as the sun could no longer be seen above the water levels. This was the end. The young dog lived a rather fruitless life, but in his last moments - he thought of the female dog he met. She was kind and he wished he would have stayed near her.
