She had never been in water before. In fact, her pack had hardly even had a body of water that she could even swim in if she wanted to. But now she found herself kicking desperately against the water to keep her head above the surface. She was clumsy and awkward about it, but somehow she managed to stay alive long enough to see pale land in the distance. She coughed and did her best to swim towards it, but she had been swimming for what felt like days and after another several minutes she began to realize how dizzy and exhausted she was. Her paws were in autopilot as she slowly began to allow her head to dip under the water, and after only a few minutes she was slipping out of consciousness.
Darkness surrounded her once more, but her head still continued to spin as her body was thrown along with the waves towards the shores of Vor'asa. It was only when she was thrown against a massive metal object that she was shocked back into the real world. She gasped for air as her body hit the ship once more, her paws kicking out to the side frantically before she realized she was no longer standing. It was difficult to right herself, but she managed to eventually, and immediately she was hit by the freezing wind the blew mercilessly off the snowy landscape around her. What is this place? Her mind was spinning along with the rest of the world as her mint green eyes scanned her surroundings, but because of how close she stood to the ship, she could barely see anything other than snow and water.
So, instead of sticking around in the open any longer than she needed to, she ducked her head and squeezed herself into the massive human structure that she was certain had to be the ship she had been on hours before. It was not, of course, but who was she to know the difference? Her body trembled and shook with the cold as she sought the humans, or anyone to help her within the old and rusted structure. She found none, but by the time she finished searching the vessel she was shaking so violently she was certain she would die if she stepped out into the cold wind once more. So instead she found herself a small corner of a room to curl up in and began to groom herself, doing her best to lick the moisture and ice from her coat in an attempt to avoid freezing to death.
Part of her wanted to howl, to call out to her pack or any pack to beg for their help, but she knew that this was not home. She did not know where it was, but her family and her former mate were long gone and likely had forgotten about her already. She was on her own now, and since the ship had sunk she likely would not even see help from the humans. She had always believed she would live a long and fruitful life in her father's pack, serving her mate and birthing many litters for the pack's future. But instead she found herself in a metal beast and all alone, shivering and whimpering as she curled up and did her best to conserve whatever energy she had left in order to wait out the cold in this unforgiving and brutally frozen wasteland.
