She supposed at some point in time she had been told stories of her mother's antics as a youth. She knew that the place where Mara had lost her tail was probably similar to the one she walked in now, covered in steam and in a place where nothing grew. Sure, the pools where Lilith had taken Mara's tail from her were further south and likely more populated at this point, but Tanha could honestly not bring herself to care too much about the comparison. Plus, she had grown oddly fond of the barren and death covered Tears since she had first found them. The dual colored female moved slowly through the steam and rocks, ignoring how there was fewer clouds of warm mists than there used to be. Perhaps the winter had made life here even harder and even gone as far as to freeze some of the runoff, but the behemoth of a female was not one to analyze the little things about her environment. She was not fighting at the moment and she did not intend to either, so therefore there was little point in keeping track of every little intricacy that her mismatched eyes noted unconsciously.
She was built to kill, to fight, to possess and to control. But lately she had found herself wandering alone and finding nothing that held her interest for long. She had followed her mother and joined Ravenis in order to maintain her carefree and responsibility-free lifestyle, but the older she got, the less she found she enjoyed it. But perhaps that was because she had lost her pet and had no one to entertain her on a regular basis. Mara and Merak were far too busy 'getting to know each other' and Masyn kept his dog pet to himself. Her little sister had gone AWOL and she was certain at some point she would be sent to fetch her from wherever she had wandered off to. But Lorelai would return to them, for she was certain that the odd loyalty that sprouted in that little female was true to a fault. She would always follow Mara, regardless of what damage the world - or her brother apparently - did to her.
But Tanha was not like Lorelai. Her loyalty to her mother was out of convenience and comfort, and she supposed someday she would have to move on and make something out of herself in life. But for now, however, she decided she was going to continue to wander and potentially find some way of entertaining herself somewhere. She had found some form of mild entertainment in Harper within Acerbus, but she now walked through unclaimed territory to see if there were any wolves outside of pack lands that she could use to keep busy. She was within her heat again, but a female such as herself managed to ignore it for the most part. She was not a vessel for pups like her mother had been on so many occasions. No, she had her whole life ahead of her and she would not tie herself down with the weight and care of whelps that could barely survive without a mother's attentions. Tanha was many things, but she was certain a mother was not one of them.
Her paws carried her slowly forward, and though she did not try to hide, she was amused to find that somehow thick steam still filled the air and at least the lighter half of her coat seemed to blend into the mists that surrounded her. Perhaps she could hunt, but she found that she was not particularly hungry either. So for now she toyed with and kicked bones of long decomposed creatures that she came across, and even went as far as to pick up a skull and carry it along with her as she went. Perhaps she could use it as a toy later on, to play with and destroy as she pleased when she was alone. But for the time being it hung from her jaws, distorting her misty form as her massive paws crushed dirt, stones, and whatever else laid in her path as she moved forward.
