Winter was finally over. The season had been brutal, and though the wolves of Aludri were used to the cold weather, Arche had feared for them in the winter that had fallen upon them that year. The snow seemed to never stop falling, and it piled up several feet everywhere that he walked. He had done his best to plow out areas for the smaller wolves of the pack to get around, but thankfully the trees in the forest did a good job of covering the ground to keep it from getting too high. He was grateful for the warmth than now shined down on his back as he moved up the gentle slope of the foothills that led up to the Tia'deli Mountains, but he knew with the warmth came another danger. Landslides and flooding would be something that he and the rest of the pack would have to watch carefully for, especially the smaller and younger wolves.
He carefully judged the rocks and the ground around him as he walked, thankful that they seemed fairly stable close to the main section of pack land, but the mountain range was still partially within their territory. He would need to make sure that the youth of the pack did not stray too high up or they may get stuck by or caught in a mudslide that could cost them their lives. He did not climb too high himself, though, and instead he paused near a large flat boulder and lifted his front paws up onto the edge of it for a moment. His green eyes scanned the terrain on the opposite side of it before he lifted his nose to the sky, calling anyone within his pack that was interested in responding. He had not had much time over the winter months to socialize with his packmates, and it was about time that he got to know them all a bit better.
Plus, to company would be greatly appreciated. He knew that his first litter needed official ranks still, though Asher was within his council at the very least. Azazel had returned, and though he had giving him acceptance back into the pack, he had not yet given him an official rank. And then there was his more recent litter that would need ranking as well. He had fallen slightly behind in some of his duties more than others, and though the borders were well marked and clear, it was about time for him to reconnect with his Aludri family once more. When his howl finished he lowered his head and pushed off the rock, his front paws falling back to the ground in front of him where he stretched almost lazily and let out a long yawn. Then he sat, resting and relaxing in the warmth of the sun as he waited to see if anyone would respond.

He Walks. | He Talks. | He Thinks.
