[Australian Shepherd x Belgian Tervuren] Arlock{UPDATE 5/19}

History:

Masyn and Lissanna did not come from Anikira, and when they arrived were forced to learn and survive in a wilderness that their life from before had not prepared them for. Arlock too held whole bloodlines of domestication behind him but was born on Anikira to two wolves who had found their way towards each other during that time. Masyn eventually found Mara and followed her first to found Elysium and then to found Ravenis and along the way took under his wing a fellow dog in a world of wolves. Lissanna struggled when she first came to Anikira, filled with wolves who were both hostile and friendly, but wolves nonetheless. While she did not come back leading the pack she eventually found her place at the side of Masyn and Ravenis. Eventually, she mixed her bloodlines with that of the shepherd and a male wolf named Ambrose. It was from this litter that Arlock was born.

Personality:

Arlock is first and foremost a gentleman, courteous and polite it's rare for anyone to get a glimpse into his mind. Calling him manipulative might be a little bit of a stretch since he exudes an easy observance of manners that isn't always to get something that he wants. Observant though not prone to silence on his observations Arlock sees no reason to make a bad impression before he absolutely has to. His cool and somewhat prissy demeanor might give off the impression that he is a dog not prone to violence or malicious intent, but it would be more accurate to observe that he simply chooses to focus his ire on those he deems deserving and brush off annoyances with an unflappable distant mien.

He has a sharp and occasionally witty tongue, although the art of small talk and long prolonged conversations about nothing are almost second nature to him he embodies the best of both his introverted and extroverted tendencies.

As driven as he can be Arlock stays true to his breeding, while he constantly finds himself needing to do something, to have a job, to have a purpose he shows very little direction for grand plans as far as his life goes. While never quite content to surrender mastery he nevertheless requires a master to give him purpose. Whether that be bloody and nothing else or a show of kindness it's all the same as long as it's on the orders of someone he is loyal to.

Easily led and prone to following orders simply out of a need to do something with generations of breeding forcing him to seek his purpose and direction externally a wise individual would set out to seek more than his compliance but his loyalty. While Arlock might follow orders he has his own head on his shoulders and will save himself before completing them absent absolute loyalty and devotion to a select chosen few. Though in the end he craves and desires someone to surrender his carefully cultivated mastery to he will also hold the final cards in giving himself to that person. His is loyalty that cannot be forced nor faked, but one with many potential awards.
