The cure has been found! Wolves on Anikira are recovering from the disease and life is moving forward with the promise of pups in many packs. And yet darkness looms on the horizon, daring the creatures of Anikira to relax and allow themselves to get comfortable once more.
Wandering to the mainland of Kairos had, perhaps, been a mistake, but she couldn’t help it when the cure might exist only outside of their borders. Esther didn’t hold delusions about being special, she knew that there were other healers more gifted than her or perhaps simply luckier. And she knew that the most important thing about the entire ordeal was that a cure was found, somehow. Nonetheless the female felt herself being pulled to wander, to help, to heal. The one use she had. Her ears flickered and her pelt comfortably buffeted the winter breeze. The scent of a loner caught her for a moment as it drifted across the movement of air, and she only took a moment to decide to head towards it, the smell of blood following not soon after. There was distrust and caution in her steps, but nothing malicious and her only intention was to help. After all, an injured wolf was her business no matter the circumstances the island might be under otherwise. Not wasting any time, but not wanting to appear as if she were rushing a stranger her pace quickened to a brisk walk. Nothing quiet was in her step, the female’s carriage making it clear that she did not intend to threaten and was not trying to be sneaky. Still the wolf’s head darted over to her direction as if someone had snapped his neck. She could see his wounds, shoulder, neck, leg all superficial but bleeding profusely and her eyes sought them out carefully. A warrior and healer both needed to probe for weakness, though for very different reasons. Tentatively she ducked her head to move closer, the whites of their eyes were showing, and she stilled to a halt. Her voice…They continued to stare and she set down the herbs she had been carrying, painkillers and generic leaves and cobwebs to staunch the bleeding. Something in them appeared to calm, why a stranger would carry these with them not intending to help was a puzzle. There was little left for them to lose, bleeding out like they were it was a wonder they could stand. She took another step forward, prepared to offer pain relief and was only just quick enough to leap back as a set of fangs beset the side of her neck. A strangled yelp rasped through her throat and this time it was her own eyes blown wide with shock. Specks of blood spattered the ground, fresh and different, but it was the scent that was now more apparent to her that made her realize her mistake.
In an effort to provide the least restrictve roleplaying environment available, Anikira and their staff have moved the community to the Proboards paid forums. Jaidah is one of the albinos on the site, a brand new character brought to life by a brand new player. It is interesting to see how such a pure looking being could be wrapped up in the angsty claws that is Irkalla! We will definitely be staying in-tune with this character to see just what heights Bird is able to take her!
