Overall, life so far had been pretty boring. Well, at least lately. Her birth and youth had been plagued with turmoil because of her family and the loss of multiple packs, but for some reason the enormous female still followed her mother. Perhaps she just found it easier not to have to hold responsibility for herself, or maybe she actually cared about the grey and white female. Either way, she had followed Mara out of Elysium after attacking Fel as well and had helped her mother build up Ravenis from the ground. They were thriving, though they had yet to claim the territory that they had been living in for quite some time now. Then again, it did not seem like they had much competition for it at the moment. Instead they lived unchallenged and rather boring existences. Therefore, as per the usual, Tanha had a tendency to wander.
This particular outing took her out of South Igneir and slightly north, where she found herself walking among a number of dead creatures that laid out across The Tears of Lyeina. Her better judgement told her not to play with dead things, but her curiosity and boredom got the best of her and she found herself kicking a nearby pile of bones absently. This specific specimen crumbled beneath her paw and left tiny pieces scattered all over the ground, signaling that the poor creature had likely been dead for much longer than she had assumed. Still, there was no pity or emotion on the giant female's face. Tanha was not one for feelings, unless they were frustration and anger mostly. The female had inherited her mother's lack of patience and her father's anger, leaving her a loose cannon on a good day.
Without entertainment most of the time, she had taken quite often to seeking out ways to amuse herself. This particular morning, however, she was more irritated than normal. She was in heat again, and though she had been through such a thing before, she had not indulged herself like her mother always had. The last thing she needed was to end up carrying around some bastard's pups, and anyone asked would say that she was most definitely not the mothering type. Perhaps if she did have a litter her mother would care for it for her, or even her half-sister Lorelai. Either way, she had no intention of going the 'loving family' route. Instead she prowled alone, snapping and kicking at bones to entertain herself as the sun made it's way higher and higher up into the sky above her.
The later day brought warmer temperatures, but as winter had fallen on the south it did not grow hot enough to be too uncomfortable. Still, after a few hours of wandering about she chose a particularly large bone and laid down with it in between her paws to chew on it. This creature had died more recently, and much to her surprise and pleasure she found juicy marrow deep within the bone as her teeth crushed and broke it with little effort. Her tail twitched absently behind her, and if she had been a more careful creature she might have bothered to pay attention to her surroundings. However, there were very few wolves that posed a threat to the behemoth of a wolf, so she did not bother with the little thing that most others called fear. She never had, and she she never would, just like her mother.
