[attr="class","pltxt"]actions. speech. thoughts. other's thoughts.
Time had flown for the young female. It seemed only yesterday the canine had awoken in the cold snow at the edge of Foraz’s territory with the metallic stench of humans all around her. The brown pelted wolf found herself padding through their territory today with these thoughts swirling through her mind as she watched her paws sink into the white, powdery stuff once again. Winter had descended upon the lands once again, but this time it was not quite as brutal as it had been a year prior. She could not help but wonder what had been different a year ago that would bring such a drastically different winter, could it be that perhaps the humans had meddled too much in the lives of the wolves here and in return they had sought to drive the hairless creatures out by making the winter one they could not possibly survive? Who knew… the shaman of her birth pack would have been able to see it. Perhaps their own winter had also been easier this year, perhaps the peace had been everlasting once she had been taken from the lands of her ancestors. Brunilda shut her violet hued eyes against the thoughts of her birthplace… no, she had no way of returning to them, and after being her for over a year this was her home now. Brunilda let out a soft sigh, watching as her breath became mist before her and slowly floated away. She had to focus on the present, there was no use in lingering in the past… not when she had been sent to the border on an important mission from Olympus.
Snow started to fall once again as she slowed her pace, inhaling deeply as she came to the bordering forest where their neighboring pack began their territory. Olympus had only given her the most important of details for her mission… he was unable to be here himself due to other fine tuning actions he had to take, such as announcing the change to the bulk of Foraz, but the two packs were to become one with Foraz melding into Aludri’s ranks. Olympus had mentioned the importance of decent ranks for their members in return for their bolstered numbers and the expansion of their territory into the land that she had come to know as home. She turned once more to look back at the lands that she had explored in her year here, toward the wolves she had met and she wondered what the temperament of these wolves they were joining would be like. She had witnessed only a couple of pack merges when she had been a soldier in her birth pack, smaller packs had come to them to pledge their allegiance in return for safety and a bigger home in the face of a common enemy… was there a common enemy they needed to worry about now, or was this truly just a diplomatic move to quickly bolster numbers on all sides? She turned back to face into the unknown territory, reminding herself it was not her place to question the choices of those above her… she was merely here to broker their merge and ensure the union would be equally as beneficial for them as it would be for Aludri.
Brunilda lifted her maw and parted her jaws just enough to let a howl ring out through the cold air over the expansive forest before her, seeking out an audience with the alpha that she knew would be nearby. The sun was nearly at it’s peak in the sky, which would have been the time they agreed to meet here from what Olympus had briefed her on the night before, so surely if the other canine were not already there he would be nearby. She lowered her muzzle as her call ended and waited patiently for the male to approach their shared border, careful to make sure her tail was at a relaxed position behind her and not raised in dominance, as it normally would be when patrolling their borders, as a sign of respect to the male that would soon be her Alpha male, so long as everything went as planned at least.
