It was time to officially welcome the wolves of Foraz into Aludri. After leaving his meeting with Brunilda, a female that Olympus had sent to facilitate the merger between their packs, Arche was prepared to inform his pack of what was happening and bring them to the former border to greet their new members. He was skeptical that many wolves of Aludri would come, or even still be within the pack territory, but he had to at least try to reach them. And so when he had returned to the center of Xayar Forest, he lifted his nose to the sky and howled to his pack members to join him. He had increased the number of ranks the pack had to accommodate Foraz, and hopefully some of Aludri's members would appreciate them as well. When his howl finished he jumped up onto a nearby boulder to allow everyone that responded to see and hear him easily without straining around each other.
Then he sat, curling his tail around his paws and disturbing even more snow than what his paws already had. But he was not cold, even though he shivered slightly. He was excited, and perhaps a bit nervous as well. This was a big step for both packs, but it would mean that they would be free to roam about both The Shyia and Caurus, and their packs could prosper and grow stronger together. It was a good thing, he was certain of it, and it seemed like the wolves of Foraz believed so as well. Now it was time to see what his family thought of it. He knew Alina would stand by him no matter what he did, and he was sure Mufasa would back him up as well. But what about everyone else? Were they even still in the pack's borders? Silently he sent up a prayer to whatever power was out there to help him and keep him strong, but he could not help but worry at least slightly.
He had faith in his pack, but did his pack still have faith in him? The thought made him frown, and he shifted his weight slightly from one paw to the other before he snorted softly and shook his head. He was getting older, going on seven years now, but he was still strong and capable. Still, he worried about the pack and he always would. It was one of his greatest weaknesses, his love for his family and his pack. But in his mind it also made him strong, and he refused to ever turn his back on them. Their future when he was gone was somewhat uncertain, and he still did not have someone that he knew he could pass the pack down to when he was gone. But there was time. He was old, but he was not done yet, and neither was Alina, that much he was certain of. They would have another litter, perhaps more, and Aludri would remain strong no matter what. His mind wandered slowly to his mate, hoping that she would appear at his side and snuggle into his fur for warmth like she always did. Just the thought alone warmed him slightly, but he also knew that with the weather it was likely that she would stay in the caves where she would not freeze. But he longed to feel her beside him again, and he sighed heavily as he become much too focused on how cold and alone he felt in that moment.

He Walks. | He Talks. | He Thinks.
