with my heart in the rounds [Selene] Feb 4, 2020 21:34:18 GMT -6

It would not have been an understatement to say that Król's life had become quite a whirlwind lately, for better or for worse. Between fleeing from the lands that Sethos had formerly called home and collapsing within Vasilios territory- and within such lands, finding an unlikely friend in the brute named Ambrose, who had shown him that there was more to life than senseless hatred- finding Selene again, and trying his best to find the two of them suitable shelter where they might be able to both live comfortably and stay in safety from any Khalsa wolves that wanted to lay claim to her again, the Tundra brute had been quite busy lately, his days seeming to dissolve into a frenzy of activity that never fully found itself drawing to a close. He could at least be comforted by the knowledge that since months had passed between Selene fleeing from Khalsa's lands and their travel to the current location that they made home, it was likely that no members of the pack were on their trail, a fact which filled him with no small amount of gratification, questions of where to go from here still remained, souring Król's thoughts whenever he cared to dwell on them.
They had to find some location that was more permanent to settle down in, after all. As much as Król was more than capable of providing for the two of them and defending Selene, he could not be with her at all hours of the day, and the idea that another wolf could choose to take advantage of such a fact while she was gone from his presence made him shudder to think of it, made his blood boil until he could barely see straight with how strong the force of his repressed anger was. He knew he shouldn't have felt so strongly, should have left such possessive feelings back in Xisyn where his anger towards his lot in life had first begun to shrivel and die out, but he could no longer hide the depths of his feelings. Selene was hism his to have and to hold, and as long as he had a say in the matter no other wolf would lay so much as the tip of a claw on her without consequence. It was he who had found her among the frozen landscape, he who had cared for her and nursed her back to health, and no other wolf (save for her long disappeared sister) would ever be able to claim to have that level of closeness with the silver female.
He loved her, and cherished her, and all he wanted was to keep her safe. And to do that, they would likely need to join up with one of the packs that made their home in the southern lands as soon as possible, preferably as far away from Khalsa's lands as they could go. Though the fear of a member of said pack following them from the desert had passed, the last thing Król wanted was for one of them to stumble upon her by chance while on another pack's territory. He would need to find a safe place for he and Selene to settle down in soon, or else risk spending yet another hard winter upon the barren southern lands.
But such thoughts could wait for another day. For now, he had food to bring to his mate- he had gone hunting earlier that morning, and had managed to bag a sizable deer from one of the herds he had seen wandering through the landscape- and his mind welcomed the chance to converse with the one wolf that had not left him in recent months, who had stuck by his side valiantly through thick and thin. And indeed, as he crested over a hill and saw that beloved silver pelt and blue eyes in front of him, a small smile graced the Tundra brute's face, made only wider once he was able to drop the carcass in front of Selene and cross over to her side. "Good morning, my love," he rumbled out, ducking his head to give a gentle nudge to her cheek. "I've caught breakfast for us. What say we share it together, hmm?"
