It had been a few days now since he had left the grove where the cure to the disease that had plagued his brothers and he had been found. The whole event had been an interesting conglomeration of wolves from all over the place, some seeking the cure with a purpose and others simply having stumbled upon the small gathering, some surprisingly had not even heard of the disease that they had brought with them and unintentionally began to spread upon the island continent. The blue-eyed Isles male had volunteered to be the one of his brothers to return to the Southern Isles with the cure, Ignotus had done more than enough simply in finding and trying the cure to verify with Antioch and himself that it was indeed what they had been searching for… and Antioch had stayed with the group of strangers to let them witness with their own eyes that the strange flowers were the answer they had been seeking… so that had left Cadmus being the most logical choice of the trio to bring the cure home. Uneasy about leaving his brother with a bunch of strangers though, Cadmus had delayed the start of his journey just long enough to ease his thoughts on his brother’s safety and then picked up the large bundle of flowers he had gathered and set off, eager to see his friends and family, whomever was left at least, and offer those with the disease the flowers they had found.
Along the way the flame point brute had run into another wolf, an older female that bore the unmistakable markings of his homelands, when he stopped for a drink before continuing toward the islands. After a short interaction Cadmus had found that he felt rather attached to the spritely female and seeing that she too had come from the Southern Isles, Cadmus had asked if she would like to return to their homeland with him. Her interest had been piqued and she agreed to travel with him, but for the time being, the male had left her near the area he had found her in and approached a territory that had no solid pack scent markers that he could find. there was certainly a group in the area, to make sure they would be safe continuing through it or if they would need to find another way south… and amongst the smells that came to his nostrils was a scent that seemed all too familiar to the flame point male. Cadmus stopped momentarily and took a deep breath as he prepared himself to face the brute that he had passed on the dreaded disease to.
He set down the couple of flowers that he brought with him to offer the large male, one for himself and one for anyone he may have bitten since he got the disease, but knowing the supply he could take to the Isles was already limited he had left the rest of his stock with Tethys to make sure the gargantuan did not try to take more than he was being offered. Once he set down the flowers he took a couple steps back, wanting to keep them as some sort of buffer between them and he found himself praying silently that the large brute would not attack him… he did not know if the cure had any residual effect against getting infected once again, but he didn’t want to take any chances. He sat back on his haunches and raised his maw, lips parted to let out a loud howl, calling the male he had run across to him… hoping that he would recognize the sound of his howl despite how brief their meeting had been to begin with. When his call was finished he lowered his muzzle again and waited, ears swiveling constantly in hopes of picking up the sound of his approach sooner rather than later.
