No matter where she went, she couldn't rid herself of Khalsa's stench, and that by far was the most infuriating thing about her current situation. Dyani had thought that by striking out on her own and wandering further south, perhaps she'd finally reach lands that weren't claimed by the brutes that had so easily violated her, and she could gain some semblance of freedom by stepping onto unclaimed lands. But it was not to be. Even as she journeyed past the lands of the Occasus and into Arit, the stench that the two males who had taken what they wanted from her in the desert followed, overpowering and threatening to overwhelm her with memories of the mistreatment she had suffered back in her home pack. She'd escaped from her father only to wander into yet another form of confinement, and it was something Dyani could not stand in the least. Never mind that a small part of her was terrified over the possibility of being mistreated and used as an object again, never mind that she still thought she saw her father coming towards her out of the corner of her vision whenever she allowed her mind to wander- the Red mix could not, would not accept the fact that she was trapped here.
She'd leave these lands behind her, and then she'd make these bastards pay for what they had done to her.
But these lands were seemingly without end, and the stench of Khalsa followed no matter how valiantly she tried to be rid of it. Dyani was not foolish enough to think that she'd somehow escaped from having the other members scrutinize her, either, given that she had more or less threatened two of the brutes that called the pack home with bodily harm- not that she could bring herself to give a shit about such a thing, of course- and a need to put some distance between her and any potential pursuers had driven her onward, sure that the lands would eventually come to some kind of natural boundary that might allow her to slip away and keep any of the Khalsa members from trying to come after her and secure her as a prize again. And while she had indeed come to a barrier of sorts during her travels, it was not the one that she had wanted, nor one that she could potentially utilize in a plan for her escape from this dreadful pack. The discovery of this barrier was how Dyani found herself now, blue eyes narrowed into irritated slits as she gazed out over the vast expanse of salt water, her entire form bristling with irritation as she blinked rapidly to keep angry tears from springing into her vision.
This could not be happening to her. She could not have escaped from the captivity that her father had placed her under for all those years only to immediately fall back into its clutches, or at least into the clutches of something that was startlingly similar to it. Beginning to pace up and down the sand angrily, Dyani barely noticed her anger building until an enraged shriek finally tore from her maw, her entire body whirling back towards the water as an outstretched paw heaved up a clump of sand and threw it into the waves. It was an almost childish display of anger, and a clear reminder that the female had never truly been allowed to grow and mature in a healthy way while she had spent half of her life under her father's thumb. And while another wolf might have chosen to laugh at the display, there was no mistaking the vaguely murderous look in the Red mix's gaze as she stood there, inwardly praying to have something to take her mounting frustration out on.
