He stood silently, pale green eyes looking over the water as the waves crashed onto the shore a distance from his den. Issimor Caverns had been the place he felt most comfortable since his return to his home, and it had been where he had ultimately settled down. He knew the dangers of the waters, but so did his mate. Alina would be careful with their pups, he was certain of it. And over the past several weeks, it had been come quite clear that their coupling had been fruitful. Though he was certain that they both would have been quite content repeating the attempt if it had not been. He still ached for her, but he did not want to exhaust her any further that his pups in her belly already did. They were both getting older, and he was fairly sure this was their last chance to produce pups. These would likely be the last of his line unless they went on to continue spreading his genes further. But he had done well, and he was grateful that he could share this with his mate.
He had struggled an entire lifetime before he found her, but it was all worth it in order to curl up at her side every night. Their pack had grown recently as they had taken in the members of Foraz as their own, and Arche had never felt more safe than he did in that moment. That was not to say that he did not worry - because he always worried - but he could not think of a better place to bring their pups into the world. He sighed softly as the cool breeze blew through his fur and he closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the feeling. He was happy. Life had been cruel, but it had all been worth it for the place he stood now. There was a bright future ahead of him, and though it might end up being shorter than he would prefer, he would make sure he enjoyed every moment of it.
He glanced back at the darkness of the den, wondering if his mate was already out and about or if she still rested in the warm confines of their little home. Either way he did not intend to disturb her, but with the ocean and the wind, he could not pick up exactly which direction her scent would take him. He did not worry, though, for he was certain she knew better than to go too far. Plus, at this point she was quite pregnant, and he doubted she was strong enough to go much further than to get food and water and return to rest once more. His anticipation at the upcoming birth was growing, and though he was excited, he was also worried about how his mate's body would handle it. Neither of them were as young as they used to be, and he wondered if perhaps he should find a healer to stand by just in case. But who could he use? His mind ran over the wolves that he knew of, but none of them stood out as a healer that he knew of. The thought made him frown, and his hips lowered to the sandy earth beneath him as he thought it over carefully.
(Alina and anyone else that wants to join ^.^)
He walks. "He Talks." He Thinks.
