She had come so far, built up a world where her offspring and their offspring could flourish and conquer. But she had not done it alone. No, she had tried that and she had failed, and the little Marauder had learned from her mistakes. She was determined to know her pack, to know their strengths and their weaknesses and their dreams and hopes for the future. They were powerful, strong and capable and a force to be reckoned with. Especially now that so many lives had been brought into their ranks by the new mothers among them. They had officially claimed South Igneir, and they were growing stronger as the days went on. With a heavy sigh Mara pushed herself to her feet, moving towards the caverns that she knew housed the quickly growing pups of the pack. At least two litters had graced their numbers so far, and she was glad to know that they were all strong and healthy.

Lisanna had birthed several pups to Masyn, and Lorelai had given her grandchildren for the first time in her life. She smiled slightly at the thought, before stretching slowly and coming to a stop several yards outside of the cavern entrance. Then she lifted her nose to the sky, calling out to her pack with confidence and power. It was time they came together, time they bonded with one another in celebration and determination for the future. The pups were all old enough to venture out into the light, and with the entirety of the pack present, they would never be safer. They would meet their future mentors, their family, the promises for their future. Mara, herself, would be surrounded by family, and for the first time in a very long time, she was actually pleased by such a prospect.

When her howl finally came to a close, she leaped up onto a large boulder to give herself a perch above the ground to wait. She would not need it for the entirety of the meeting, but because she was so small she needed to ensure she was seen and heard by everyone. There was plenty of room below and nearby for her family and pack, and once she was comfortable with her chosen spot she sat down and exhaled slowly. It was about time she did this, about time that they all came together and pushed into the future as one unit. They were stronger this way, and Mara was determined to keep them headed in the right direction to make Ravenis great into the future.

[attr="class","pltxt"]Things were changing quickly in the pack, ever since he first joined it. They went from staying in the South to then claiming it within the first weeks of his time in Ravenis. Already he could see that Ravenis was led by a much better leader than Eleos was. It hurt him to see the truth in that, for he had loved Freya with everything in his being. But the truth hurts sometimes. Killian heard the call from his leader and soon he found himself within her presence. He had met some of the wolves within the pack, but not enough to be satisfied with their numbers. He found Mara atop the boulder once again and he gave a respectful nod of his head as he looked up to her. He decided to take a rest beside the boulder, leaning his shoulder into it as he moved to lay down beside it. The warmth coming off the boulder felt nice, even in the heat of summer.

He wasn't too sure what the pack would be called forth for, but it really didn't matter. Whatever Mara wanted, she got. Killian was there to make sure that happened.

He looked up to her from his laid down position, lifting his head and then lowering it over crossed paws. He wasn't too sure who would all appear and in what order, but he knew they would all come for her call. It was a matter of importance, after all. He was rather pleased with the position he had acquired, though he had not met Masyn yet, the one he would be working closely with. He was interested to see what this male brought to the pack. He hoped that Masyn would be pleased in Killian and that their future together would be one of the best teams Ravenis would ever see.

He Walks. "He Talks." He Thinks.

The call was clear and he knew that if he ignored it there would be hell to pay. But he also knew that his absence would disappoint his mother and likely the rest of the pack as well. It was his duty and responsibility to be present, so he would be there. With a soft sigh the young male pushed himself into a standing position, his chin dripping lightly of the water he had been resting it in. Many wolves saw the Pools of Clamor as a cursed place, but he liked the peace and quiet that such a stigma provided him. It was rare that he came across an interruption, and on a day that he was not willing to wander all the way down to the seemingly dead peninsula that he also enjoyed visiting. With a soft yawn he stretched, letting his tail flick out behind him slightly while his singular ear twitched one way and then the other.

Soon his mismatched eyes joined the search for his pet, for Diomedes was not typically far from him. She was a good pet and typically treated her well, for so far she had done little to upset him. After a few moments of waiting he offered a single demanding bark meant to call her to him and then turned in the direction of his mother's call. Dio would follow him, and if she was not present at the meeting then he would find her and punish her for such an insult. Still, he had little doubt that she would appear soon. His pace was relaxed, but by the time he spotted his mother perched atop the rock that she seemed to have chosen for meetings there was only one other wolf present. This was one that he had not seen before, and for a moment the fur on his neck and shoulders bristled.

The way the stranger lazed about at the base of his mother's perch, almost as if he deserved to be there at her side made him sick. But he could see not contempt from his mother, and therefore inhaled deeply to carefully memorize the other male's scent. Mara was his, just as his sisters were. However, he knew better than to challenge another obvious pack member in front of his mother, let alone during a meeting she had called. So instead he walked stiffly to the other side of the rock and sat as close as he could, all the while keeping a close eye on his mother and the strange male. The other's presence even made him look around occasionally, not nervously but perhaps with a bit of an urgency for any sign of his sisters or his pet. He would ensure they were all safe and present, or he would find them and bring them back to him one by one.

[attr="class","pltxt"]Masyn had kept himself busy before Lisanna had given birth – but after, he had gained a whole new appreciation for the word. Before, he had patrolled the lands that had unofficially ‘belonged’ to Ravenis at that time, had hunted for Lisanna, and had kept a dutiful eye upon his little mate. After, he did all the same – and yet, more. Now they called South Igneir home, and though he knew there were others in charge of keeping an eye on their territory, he still quite liked to keep himself familiar with the space and the faces who occupied it. When he hunted now, it was not only for Lisanna – it was for his pups, too. They were growing and learning, and he would be all too happy to teach them to hunt should they so desire, but they were still young, and so he still took the task of keeping them fed and happy upon himself. He helped Lisanna as much as he could with the litter, their rambunctious legs often carrying them out of the dens now that they were old enough, though never far from the watchful eye of their parents or their packmates. Most evenings he found himself exhausted, curling around Lisanna and their family in their area of the caverns, falling quickly into a weighted slumber.

Still, he would not allow himself to slack. He rose early each morning no matter how his body protested, determined to do all that he could not only for his family, but for Ravenis. They had grown steadily and triumphantly, and Masyn found himself strangely proud of what he had watched Mara build, what he had helped build. There had never been a day where he’d regretted following Mara from the moment he’d met her, and he knew still that that day would never come. This was wholly where he belonged; he found himself musing on it as he took temporary respite in the dens, a half-eaten carcass he’d secured for his family earlier shredded in one corner.

A howl broke him from his contemplation, familiar and close. His head lifted, ears perking high as his body reacted immediately, lifting him to his paws. He shook his soft, wispy pelt as he began moving, legs treading through the dark twists of the cave with familiarity until he emerged from within, light falling across his frame and illuminating his multi-colored coat. From the corner of his eye he spotted Mara perched above them just to the side of the caverns, and instantly his head dipped in respectful greeting to her, though he knew no words were immediately needed. His eyes then flickered to an unfamiliar male lounging beneath her, his head tilting in quick curiosity as he gave a series of blinks that served as an acknowledgement, neither warm nor cold. His gaze slid away as he began to move forward, settling on the familiar form of Caelum, who he greeted with a nod of his cranium. There were no others present yet for him to silently address, and so he settled himself into an alert seated position somewhere between the other two, giving both enough breadth so as not to make them uncomfortable.

[attr="class","pltxt"]Their pack was expanding, much more than his natal pack had ever been (from what he had seen), and he almost forgot their name entirely. It was amazing how much better his life was once he was able to leave the binds of that horrid and foolish pack. He was thriving, and with Lorelai trailing behind him, he felt more power than he ever had before. He was now a father, much better than his own father and he promised to be worth a damn for the sake of his own bloodline. Unfortunately, he was still tied to those fools and he always would be, but nobody really needed to know that. The young wolf had heard the call from his leader, his savior. He had been with Lorelai and their young at the time and almost fled without even a care to make sure they were coming as well. "Come." Was all he commanded of them, turning his head back towards where the sound had come from.

He walked, every so often, turning his head to make sure his family was following behind him. To Nefarian, they were not just his blood, they were his trophies. Look what he had been able to create. The more he looked at Larka with each passing day, the more he saw Mara in her features. Almost like a much bigger clone than their Marauder. When they arrived to the group, there were only a few in the gathering. His eyes fell upon Mara first, sitting upon the large boulder so she could be seen and heard better. Then his eyes fell down to the large, very large odd brute lying beneath her. He looked relaxed, like he belonged there, but Nefarian had no idea who he was. A natural skeptic, he would keep an eye on the larger wolf. Then his dual colored eyes moved onto the child he shared the rank with. Caelum, and even he too looked as though he did not trust the stranger. Then there was Masyn, a dog he knew within the pack but had been busy with his own family as of late. So far the males that had shown up, seemed to be some of the more important ones of the pack. One could assume, anyway. Nefarian placed himself in the important grouping all on his own, knowing his own worth to them as well. "Mara," he said with a bow of his head out of respect. "I would like you to meet your grandchildren, Nero and Larka." He looked to them to stand by his side, looking up to their grandmother.

Pyxis had spent most of her time wandering the lands, not really feeling like apart of the pack. With the disappearance of her father, she felt odd to be around the others. Where was he? Where had he gone? And why had he left her? Did he not feel love for his family? It was obvious that mother did not need a male by her side to help her lead, she could handle the work all on her own. In fact, with only Mara as the Marauder, they had claimed lands of the home they had been residing in. Pyxis could not help but to feel the ultimate sense of joy for her mother and Ravenis as a whole, but she did not feel as though she fit into the grand scheme of things. She could be ruthless when needed, but really shied away from that. The loss of her father altered her mind drastically and the thought of being abandoned again was far too much for her to take. Some days she wondered if it would be best to leave home on her own, to find a life for herself or maybe her own father?

Surely she could find him if she really put all her abilities into it. Maybe she could bring him back home? Pyxis had been distracted from her thoughts when the howl of her own mother rang in her ears. She quickly got up, dusted herself off and rushed for the gathering of wolves. Mostly males were there, which made her feel safer in their numbers. There was a stranger, and she made sure to stay far away from him, instead, she moved towards her own brother and nestled up besides him. She looked to the male that had addressed her mother, and watched the two pups that stood beside him. One did look so much like her mother, it was weird. But it did make sense if her older sister Lorelai was the mother. She finally laid down on the ground, resting against Caelum as she made little effort to socialize with anyone else.

Their pups had grown quickly. At first she had been surprised, unsure of what to do with the little female that looked identical to her mother. But when their eyes had opened and as they grew, she knew that Larka was not entirely a clone of Mara. She bore her coat colors, yes, but her size took after her father and so did her mismatched eyes. Both of her pups had been gifted his heterochromia, and she was proud to see there was truly very little of herself in her offspring. They were stronger than her and they would be destined for much greater things than her path. She had been dozing alongside Nefarian and their pups when her mother's powerful howl echoed through the caves around them. She was calling a meeting, and with how quickly Nefarian rose and took off after it, she knew it was important. She got to her feet as well, nudging her pups so that they would follow their father as well.

Then she made her way outside, not at all surprised to find that her mother was already not alone. There were a couple other males present, one she did not recognize alongside Masyn and her half-brother Caelum. She followed Nefarian over to where he sat proudly, sitting behind him to allow their offspring to instead sit on either side of their father. She knew her place in their little family hierarchy, and she was perfectly content allowing Nefarian and their pups to lead the way. She was merely support and love as it was needed and wanted, as well as a Ferula for the pack's health as necessary. She nodded at her mother and then laid herself down, crossing her front paws as she watched from around the black male and over the head of whichever pup had chosen to sit at his right side.

It seemed that pup was Larka, for the Marauder's little clone was always quite eager to be at her father's side and had talked about meeting the pack's leader from the moment she had been old enough to form the sentence. The pup's mismatched eyes looked up at her grandmother almost in awe, her tail wagging rapidly behind her as she ignored any and all manners that Lorelai had attempted to instill within her before they were old enough to wander. She was lost in her excitement, and the one-eyed female could not blame her. Still, she wondered if Mara or Nefarian would correct the pup for staring so openly or if it would be swept aside as harmless puppy behavior. She would learn eventually, but perhaps during a pack meeting was not the best time to reprimand the youngster.

Following after his father, Nero was quick on his heels. If it was serious business, the pup wanted to be in on it. He wanted to know what was happening in the pack and why. He had never met any of the other wolves from the pack or even his grandmother. So the excitement of this all was far too much for him to contain himself. His tail was wagging quickly behind his form. He never looked back to see mother, only looking to the side to see if he could race Larka to be closer to father. He was starting to feel like he was wearing down - not going to make it, but then they arrived and his heart sped up in his chest. Nero had only ever known his father to be the largest wolf in the pack, but once his bi-colored eyes fell upon the monster laying beneath their grandmother, he stopped in his tracks and pushed himself against the front of his mother. Not that she would really be able to keep him safe, but he felt comfort against her form. When he looked up to his grandmother, he realized that she looked just like Larka, only she was super small and had almost no tail. He almost thought to call out if she had lost it to some savage beast, but he had better sense than that. He stood as proud as he could, puffing his chest out and his head held high.

The big wolf might have scared him initially, but not anymore. His eyes moved to look over the other members of the pack. One was tall and lanky, his fur was super long and he was shaped weird. He tilted his head to the side as he stared at Masyn, trying to figure out why this wolf looked sickly and why everyone was cool with it. His eyes lingered on the male, in fact, he could not pull himself to stop staring.

Finally she had been allowed to sleep. Between feeding and caring for the pups and keeping them safe and from wandering away in all directions, rest had not been a luxury she could afford. The female was exhausted, and though she managed to somehow keep up with the massive litter than Masyn had gifted her with, there was no time for anything else. A soft noise, the clicking of nails, the shuffling of fur and paws. She could hear it, but her brain desperately urged her to ignore it. Then a louder sound, a howl, rang through the caves with purpose and demand. Only moments before she had closed her eyes, or at least it felt that way. They slowly opened once more, lids heavy and head more so as she watched Masyn walk away and out towards the entrance of the caverns. Mara called to them, a pack meeting that would demand every member's attention. That included herself as well as her pups.

They were old enough to meet the pack, and it was time for them to begin stepping their way into the light of Ravenis and the Marauder. At the very least Lisanna rose to support her pups and her mate, and though every one of her muscles protested she pushed herself to her feet and exhaled slowly. She nudged each of her pups one at a time until she finally stepped over them and followed after their father. They would come, one after the other and join their parents outside. Thankfully the meeting would be the most interesting thing happening in the pack lands that day, and therefore even if they found their mother and father boring they would have other things among the pack to keep them nearby.

Thankfully she did not have to be on her paws for long, and within a few moments she had joined Masyn and the rest of the pack that had so far gathered. There were several wolves around her, including the pack's newest litter, Mara's grandchildren. She let her brown eyes sweep over them with a small smile, easily noting how they looked so much like the Marauder and yet somehow still so different. Then she looked to where Caelum groomed his sister Pyxis, spotting how possessive the gesture seemed to be. Then her eyes found the newcomer, the stranger that smelled only lightly of the pack's scent. He was large, but not quite as large as the Marauder's daughter Tanha, who she still did not see present. There were others missing as well, so she settled in beside Masyn and lowered herself down into a laying position at the urging of her aching muscles.

The days had gone by much quickly in recent weeks for the monochrome female. When she had first happened upon Celyn, she had not imagined he would be of much addition to the pack… but when she had realized how easy it was to make him submit and how beyond eager he was to serve her, she found a job for him. Her would-be mentor for her new position in that pack had been busy with her pups, so Borealis had decided to jump-start her own training by finding herbs on her own to test on this willing servant. She had yet to actually put it to practice as far as testing anything on him, but she was gathering supplies… afterall, she needed to find something that would induce vomiting should the herbs he tried prove to have adverse effects. What good would he be to her if he died after one tasting? She had found a creature’s old burrow not too far from the Serpent’s Tongue and declared it his temporary home… she wanted to ensure his service to her was absolute before she even thought about bringing the idea up to her mother.

No sooner has the young female thought of the smaller wolf than her howl pierced the air. Borealis listened for a moment before she turned to look toward where she knew the smaller male was waiting for her instruction, “Wait here, small one.” she said softly, “Mother calls, and those are calls no one here ignores. Perhaps after this meeting you will meet her.” she said with a small smirk, curious as to how the small brute would react upon meeting the wolf even smaller than himself that she answered to. Without waiting for any assurance from him that he would do as told, though she knew without a doubt the pathetic creature would wait for days in a single spot if she told him to, she turned and trotted toward the sound of her mother’s howl.

Before long her two-toned orbs saw the gathering, about half the numbers of their pack she would guess, in front of the boulder that her mother stood on. She scanned the crowd, noting the her brother was rightfully sitting right next to their mother but just as quickly noting a stranger on her other side. She resisted the urge to bristle her fur, after all… if Mara allowed the brute to lay where he was then he had earned that position with her and if Caelum was not reacting to him adversely then she would not be bothered with it… but she made a mental note to meet the brown brute later on. She dipped her head in his direction in a silent greeting just as she did with any other members that she may have met gazes with. She noted the small family, her half-sister’s to be precise, that sat in perfect form to their own hierarchy, and Masyn’s lanky form nearest her brother. When her gaze came back to her brother she noticed that one of her sister’s form was also right beside him, though laying down… it made the female smile inwardly to see one of her sisters after going so long without doing so, and she padded over to them to sit beside Pyxis’s multi-colored form. She nodded in greeting to them both before bringing her attention up to the ivory figure of their mother and waited patiently.

She Walks. | "She Talks." | She Thinks.

Dreams drifted delightfully through Delta's mind as she slept, curled up against her twin sister as she always did. Around them their brothers and their other sister slept as well, and beside them their mother and father. The large family was growing with impressive speed, but there would always be wolves around them and the majority of those wolves would be larger and more physically powerful. But Delta had Whisky and they had their minds, somehow intertwined like no others. But all to soon, the warmth of her parents disappeared. Had she cared to pay attention to any sound other than her sister's breathing and steady heartbeat, perhaps she would have heard Mara's howl and woken to it like Masyn had. But no, she slept soundly still, until her mother nudged each of them gently to wake them.

With a heavy sigh she lifted her head, blinking sleepily at the exiting forms of both Masyn and Lisanna. Their mother had waited back for a bit to make sure that at least some of them were waking, but they no longer needed the constant watch of their mother like they had when they were younger. They were becoming more and more independent as the days went on, but Delta would always need Whisky. With a small yawn she swiped her tongue over her twin sister's face before nuzzling her affectionately and standing up to stretch. Their siblings laid all around them, curled up into balls or cuddled into one another. Either way, she could make out each of their distinct markings. Striker, a spitting image of their father and Kimber a mirror of their mother. Echo and Sinbad bore the unique multicolored coats that she could only assume had come from her mother's lineage. She and Whisky were identical, impossible to tell apart especially when they chose to swap with one another so frequently.

It was a game they played and both thoroughly enjoyed, but perhaps for today she would exit the caves as herself. With one more small stretch and another lick to Whisky's forehead she made her way towards the light at the end of the caves, following after her parents to see what had drawn them away. When she emerged she stopped almost immediately, for she was not long met with the vision of her parents sitting side by side, but also the presence of several other wolves from the pack. Her brown eyes danced across the gathering curiously, taking in each and every face and attempting to commit it to memory. The pack leader - or she could only assume was the Marauder - sat atop a large boulder overlooking the gathering. Beside the rock laid a dark faced male and on the opposite a striking collection of black and white and speckled wolves that somehow looked quite similar to one another. Siblings perhaps?

Then she spotted the other young family sitting together with their one-eyed mother laying behind them as if she belonged there. After a few more moments of observing everyone with a curiously wagging tail, she trotted over to her parents and sat down neatly in front of her father between his paws. She would make room for Whisky if she joined her, which she knew she ultimately would. Then she let her eyes wander again, tracing slowly over each wolf present and eventually coming to rest upon the pale Marauder sitting atop what Delta could only describe as her make-shift throne.

Uhm......@ravenis...I'm not tagging everyone again.

Of course, she had heard the news of several new litters being born into the pack. How could she not have, while Ravenis was still such a tightly-knit and small organization, despite being stronger than Elysium had ever been as a whole? Mara's new grandchildren were a special source of pride for her, for it meant that Mara's legacy would live on in the form of young, strong wolves who were more than capable of dutifully serving the ranks of Ravenis- in fact, one of them may even be chosen to take over the pack in the distant future, once Mara was dead and gone. Though Namaah had not yet made an attempt to approach either the new pups or their parents yet, the golden female knew that this was a goal she would have to carry to fruition soon. Inserting herself into the good graces of wolves that could very well grow to be her superiors one day would likely be seen as an advantage, and it would quite possibly serve to win her even more of Mara's favor than she had previously gained.

She didn't quite know what to think of the other litter born within the pack, however- that of what she rightfully viewed to be mongrels who were not worthy of belonging to the ranks of a pack as mighty as Ravenis. Though Namaah had heard tales of Masyn and the depths of his loyalty towards Mara- supposedly he had been one of the first to follow after the diminutive female once she had been driven from Elysium's ranks- and thus would be careful to treat him with at least a begrudging kind of respect, she viewed the mate that he had chosen as nothing more than a weakling, and their children to be even more so. The fact that they could have been allowed to infiltrate the pack and pollute it with their inferior genetics left a sour taste in Namaah's mouth whenever she cared to dwell on it, and that particular litter was met with a cold kind of indifference if she even bothered to think on them at all.

But such thoughts were far from her mind as she entered the small gathering that day, tracking her gaze over the members that were already gathered there. There was a large black and brown brute that stank of being new to the pack, the dual-toned pelt of Caelum, Masyn and his pathetic excuse for a family- something which Namaah couldn't help but give a small sneer towards- Mara's new grandchildren and their parents, as well as a few other members that she paid no mind to. Mara was the only wolf there that truly caught her attention, and it showed in the way the golden female deliberately took a seat that was as close to the front of the small audience as possible, ears pricked forward in order to properly hear every word of what the Marauder had to say.

Another day of being rudely nudged awake by her parents- but this time, it was for an actual purpose, beyond that of romping around the territories of South Igneir in order to show off their growing independence. This was a chance for her and her siblings to learn the names and faces of the rest of the canines belonging to Ravenis, and a chance for Echo to see who in the pack might be worth forming alliances with and who would be better off not receiving even a moment of her attention. Though Echo tended to show a healthy amount of indifference towards anyone who was not a part of her immediate family, it would likely be wise of her to attempt to get into the good graces of those who could very well be her superiors one day- besides that, it would be beneficial for her to be able to match names to faces within the pack. So it was that for once, the young shepherd mix did not let loose with irritated growls and mumbles under her breath as she was nudged awake that morning, instead giving her small body a shake to rid it of any lingering bleariness before trudging off after her parents and siblings. Occasionally glancing backwards to ensure that her brothers were actually following along and not trying to tussle with each other the whole way there, Echo was quick to walk into the meeting area and behold all the wolves already gathered there, giving a blink that was decidedly slow and bewildered before she managed to recover.

Not only was their leader quite possibly the tiniest canine she had ever laid eyes on- Echo had heard rumors of Mara's diminutive stature, but to see that the Marauder of the pack was not much taller than she herself came as a bit of a shock- but Ravenis was so much larger of a pack than she could have imagined. Glancing around at the wolves gathered there, the young female was quick to take note of those that looked interesting. Her parents and a select few of her siblings were already gathered, of course, but then there was a massive black and brown male, a black and white male with dual-colored eyes who appeared to only have one ear (something which Echo couldn't help but view as a potential weakness), and several pups around her age, sitting with who she could only assume were their parents. But it was the female sitting not far from their small family group that captivated Echo the most- her pelt was a rich golden in color, unlike anything that Echo had ever seen, so much so that the wolf almost appeared to be a ray of sunlight that had come down from the heavens and taken the form of a fellow member of Ravenis. Almost like a goddess, she thought childishly.

Echo was totally enraptured, staring in spite of herself- at least until the other female looked over and almost seemed to sneer at her, causing any ounces of respect that might have been forming within the shepherd mix's mind to wither and die as she puffed her diminutive form up as much as she was able, staring down the larger female with a look of cold indifference. She knew that there were bound to be those within the pack who would look at her with scorn due to her lineage not being that of a wolf's, but it mattered not to Echo- she was proud of her family and their appearances, her exasperation towards her brothers be damned, and she was not about to let this older female think that she could get away with showing such open distaste towards her fellow pack members. "And what, pray tell, the fuck are you looking at, you piss-colored bitch?" she yapped out, her eyes narrowed into thin blue slits as she faced down the other female with all the bravado that she possessed at such a young age. Not waiting to see whether her harsh words had elicited any kind of reaction from the golden female, Echo remembered her manners just in time to direct her gaze to the front, cocking her head curiously as she waited to hear just what news Mara had to share.

She was wandering, as she always did. It was rare to see the odd colored female in one place for long, much less near the caves that now housed all the youth of Ravenis. Puppies were annoying at best, and the giant female had little patience for them. Perhaps, though, it was the mothers that she avoided the most. She had a strange kind of respect for her own mother, but anyone else was treading on dangerous territory to push her. She always assumed she followed her mother out of simple laziness, since it was easier to remain loyal to the petite female than it was to strike out on her own and make her own decisions. It was not that she was incapable of such things, she simply did not see a point in it. She had no goals or aspirations in life as of yet, and therefore it was just easier to follow Mara and do whatever little things she asked of her. It as usually violent and brutal, so it was not like she hated her life in Ravenis.

She was nearing the border of the territory when she heard her mother's call, drawing out a soft groan and a sigh of annoyance as she came to a slow stop. For a brief moment she debated ignoring the summons, but she knew that her mother would likely send someone to give her an ear-full at the very least in response. So with another sigh she turned and headed back, picking up her pace so that it would not take her days or hours to reach the group that was likely already gathering. Her size perhaps slowed her slightly, and by the time she reached the origin location of the call there were several other canines gathered around her mother's elevated form. Her ears flicked backwards in distaste as she spotted the stranger laying the foot of the boulder, and she moved to stand directly beside him with her tail stiff and straight out behind her. It was lower than her mother's would have been if she had a tail, but it would clearly displace her dominance over the stranger should he choose to oppose her.

However, it was only a matter of moments before the brash comment of a child drew her attention directly to the pup beside Masyn. Her head tilted in what could only be described as amused surprise, but after a moment of allowing it to show it was replaced with a low warning growl. Tanha had nothing against the pup, per say, but she did know that she had a somewhat friendly relationship with Namaah. She would not tolerate disrespect unless it truly was deserved, and Namaah did rank above any of the pups within the pack. She did not move, however, for she knew if the pup needed physical reprimand Masyn would provide it appropriately. He ranked above Tanha and she had a strong respect for him like she did her mother. She would not intervene any further for the time being. Instead she let herself settle down into a sit where she had been standing beside the stranger, and then glanced up at her mother who was watching her but did not seem to argue her verbal reprimand of the pup's behavior.

Whisky had managed to fall into a restless slumber in the early hours of the morning, curled safely around her sister and tucked in close to the rest of her siblings. Her dreams were a tangled jumble of imagery, consisting mostly of the limited glimpse she’d had of the world thus far. Each day her understanding of her surroundings expanded as she and her siblings grew old enough to explore on their own, no longer confined to the dens with their mother, or forced to stay beneath their father’s watchful eye. Still, they had not dared to venture too far into Ravenis’ territory on their own, much less outside of it.

There was a shuffling next to her, and Whisky was drawn from her dreams by the feeling of her sister nuzzling into her before rising. Whisky’s eyes slid open, half-squinted with sleep as she peered in the direction of Delta, her tail giving a few brief wags. It was not long before her sister slipped out of the cavern, and immediately Whisky pushed herself to her own paws, shaking herself as she glanced around, noticing for the first time that her parents were no longer present. Her gaze snapped back to her pile of slumbering siblings as Echo rose, pretty spotted frame following promptly after Delta. Pausing just long enough to lick at a tuft of her fur that stuck out oddly from her side, Whisky padded after her sisters, wondering if her brothers would bother to rouse themselves and join them.

The young she-dog was surprised to find a large gathering of the pack present the moment that she stepped out into the light of day. Blinking her chocolate-hued eyes, she twisted to glance up and over her shoulder, her gaze finding Mara where she was seated above the rest of them immediately. Though the Marauder was small in stature, Whisky had heard how her father spoke of the she-wolf; she was fierce in her own right, more than capable of leading the band of wolves (and dogs too, she supposed) who had been drawn to her. And indeed, Whisky could see how that might be the case; she looked regal perched there, waiting patiently for Ravenis to gather.

Whisky was ripped out of her curious reverie by a familiar voice, young and high-pitched, ringing out loudly. Though the voice may have been tiny in it’s own right, the words spoken were anything but adorable; Whisky’s head whipped around to find her sister Echo where she was seated near to their family, her glare and words directly seemingly at an oddly colored wolf who’s expression bled disdain. Almost without realizing that she was moving, Whisky hurried to her sister’s side, wedging herself in between Echo and Delta both, as if offering silent support. Above them, Masyn’s head lowered sharply, a quiet growl of warning so low that others might miss it slipping from between his muzzle. The sound was echoed oddly, and Whisky tilted her head in confusion until she realized that her father had not been the only one to growl.

The wolf whom had made the noise was massive, a patchwork seemingly of two different beasts stitched together. She stood proudly and dominantly nearest to Mara, towering over a strange male that Whisky had never seen before – though, to be fair, she had not seen many of those present. Once the she-dog was able to tear her eyes away from the giantess, she peered around from beneath heavily-lidded eyes, taking note of those who surrounded her family. She said nothing, not wishing to draw her father’s disappointed gaze towards her, though she did shuffle her frame so that she briefly bumped against Echo in a show of support, a movement innocuous to those whom might have been watching, but purpose enough that she hoped her sister received the meaning.
