The cure has been found! Wolves on Anikira are recovering from the disease and life is moving forward with the promise of pups in many packs. And yet darkness looms on the horizon, daring the creatures of Anikira to relax and allow themselves to get comfortable once more.
conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth
Together the pair had been inseparable since they decided to leave Khalsa together. It was astounding to Galadriel how easy it had been to do so. Nobody tried to stop her or caught them leaving the pack lands. Her last memory of home would forever be haunted by the red-eyed demon named Beowulf. Mother had been right about him, so right. Luckily she had gotten away with her life and was now living with her younger half sister. They had been sustaining for the time being, but Galadriel knew they would need more help to make sure they kept alive. The winter would become harder on them as a single duo. They had already agreed that they needed to find a pack they could join - one that did not have rules like Khalsa, where they could actually be happy and feel like they were not slaves. Galadriel would do anything to protect her younger sister, even though she was much larger and could probably handle her own - it was still the principle of it all.
They scouted out a territory together, one that seemed to have a fresher hold on it, unlike Khalsa where the earth just wreaked of that horrid Khalsa male smell. Galadriel would not confirm this was the pack they would join until she was fully aware of their beliefs and policies. She would seek to speak with the leading wolf or wolves of the pack to get the answers she needed before making any decisions. They could always walk away from a pack, as long as they did not cross their boundaries. "Let's try this one, shall we?" Galadriel took a seat a few steps away from the border, and lifted her nose into the sky. She gave a loud and long howl to any that might hear her, calling to them to find the pair. She was filled with hope and believed that a better life could be found for the both of them. It would only be a matter of finding that right fit. When she finished her song, she lowered her muzzle and began cleaning her fur. She wanted to make sure that she looked her best when their company arrived.
They had not traveled far. However, it seemed as even moving to the edge of Khalsa's territory would be a stretch for Galadriel. She wanted to leave, that much was clear, but she was moving somewhat slower as the days progressed. Eventually they did make it to the edge of Ravenis, a pack that Kali had only heard whispers of. She had explored the border here and there, and she had even met one of the wolves that had pledged themselves to the pack. Nefarian had been young and handsome, and she had thoroughly enjoyed her time with him. But it had been fleeting, and she was curious to see if she would meet him again. Her attention turned back to her half-sister as they came to a stop at the edge of the pack's territory, her blue eyes scanning slowly over the black and white form of her companion. Her body was changing, even now she could see the signs and smell the change in her scent. Galadriel was pregnant, and from the stench of Beowulf that had been on her fur when they had joined forces together, she could only assume it was the red-eyed bastard that had filled her belly.
The thought infuriated Kali, and she was forced to keep silent the majority of the time for fear of releasing the rage that her father had imparted on her through his genes. When Galadriel howled, she did not join in with her own song, but instead sat down beside the other female and allowed herself to get comfortable. By now she was full grown and easily towered over her sister, and might likely dwarf anyone that approached them from the pack before them. With a soft sigh she even went as far as to lay down next to Galadriel, crossing her own paws in front of her and resting her head on top of them. It was all a waiting game now, to see if the wolf that approached them in response to her sister's call was worth following. At this point, though, anything seemed better than Khalsa. Thankfully she had gotten out before the fate that had befallen Galadriel had found her as well.
Would the pack wolf notice the growing pregnancy? She doubted it, for since she had spent enough time with her sister to note the changes in her form she was most likely more keen to notice such things. A stranger would not have known what she was like before. Still, Kali had gone out of her way to try and do the majority of the work for the pair. Hunting, defense, anything to keep Galadriel from harming herself trying to play the hero. She would have lives to worry about other than theirs in a few month's time, and then Kali was beginning to wonder where she would fit in. If they were in a pack, though, perhaps they would both find a place they belonged.
Their meeting had concluded, and if she were being honest the Marauder had been quite pleased at the turnout. Previous meetings she had called were small and somewhat unsuccessful, but she had seen the majority of her pack present this time around. They had grown considerably since she had officially laid claim to their home, and she had taken it upon herself to join in the patrols of the borders somewhat more frequently. Merak had left her just as every other male in her life had, and therefore she bore this season without the promise of a litter of her own. Still, the season had gifted her with a granddaughter and grandson through her daughter Lorelai, so her line was still going strong. Absently she wondered if Tanha would ever give her pups to further Raum's line as well, but at the same time she was doubtful of the large females motherly capabilities. If the giant female ever did become pregnant, Mara was almost certain that she would end up raising her grandchildren herself.
Her daughter was not the mothering type, and she was honestly still surprised that she had remained loyal and faithful to Ravenis. It was likely out of laziness and comfort, though. Still, Tanha's mere presence afforded her pack a sense of security and protection that even Mara could not deny. Today, however, the Marauder was on her own as she trotted along the border that her pack shared with Khalsa. She had been meaning to call to Kharak for a meeting of sorts, if only to ensure that his pack was also still surviving well after the Disease had supposedly ripped through the continent. It was when she neared the edge of the border that she caught the sound of a howl from just on the other side of her territory markers.
She shifted slightly, heading slowly across the border to find a pair of females waiting on the other edge. One was quite large, while the other bore a stark coloring of black and white that reminded her of her own son, Caelum. "Hello." She said softly, coming to a stop a few yards away from the pair. She was much smaller than them both, but she was perfectly capable of defending herself if the need arose. Still, they had called to her, so she doubted there would be much trouble to be had. "I am Mara, Marauder of Ravenis. What brings you to my pack's borders?" She asked, lowering her hips into a sitting position and yet still somehow maintaining a confident and dominant posture in the face of the two wolves that had summoned her.

Jaidah is one of the albinos on the site, a brand new character brought to life by a brand new player. It is interesting to see how such a pure looking being could be wrapped up in the angsty claws that is Irkalla! We will definitely be staying in-tune with this character to see just what heights Bird is able to take her!
