Wandering through the daylight was a slight challenge for her. The sun was shining so brightly now with it being summertime, but she had found sanctuary from the tree tops. They cast large shadows over the grounds, making it easier for her to hunt or explore. She had been alone for a long portion of her life, and it seemed much easier to be living as such. If she got bored, she spoke to herself out loud or to the prey she killed and feasted upon. Morbid as it was, she didn't require anyone to speak back. She was rather full of herself, giving compliments left and right. She proved time and time again that she needed nobody. When the summer sun was dimming over the tops of the trees, she made her way from the forest. There was a thick fog that rolled onto the shoreline and moved out over the water. She could not tell how far the lake went or where it even stopped. She could barely see a few feet before her face. As the time passed and night drew closer, the fog seemed to thicken still.
Taking a few steps into the water, she could feel the chill reaching between her toes. It felt nice in comparison to the heat they had been suffering from earlier that day. Walking deeper into the lave, she lapped at the waters with her tongue. It was not salty, so she knew it was not the ocean. There would be little to no danger in these waters. She continued to move forward until her chest was now resting in the water. Her eyes scanned the area as she stood there, trying to take in as much as she could see. With any luck, she might be able to catch a fish that would be dumb enough to get close to her form.
