[attr="class","pltxt"]actions. speech. thoughts. other's thoughts.
The months that had passed brought a new level of respect in the young warrior’s heart for the mothers she had known in her lifetime, particularly her own. The pups she had given birth to were more than a pawful, and were it not for the large ebony brute that helped her with them, despite none of the pups being his own, Brunilda was certain she would have lost her mind by now. It concerned her that not one, but two of her children had made friends with felines around their own ages… and she could not help but curse the brute she was sure fathered them under her breath… who knew befriending felines was a hereditary trait? Today was one of the rare days that the violet-eyed mother found herself without any of her children in tow. The older they got the more they wanted to explore… and she had slowly started to accept the idea that they were becoming more independent. They were the perfect age to truly begin their training in hunting and fighting, but for today? The young mother wanted to take the chance to have even a slight break from the duties of motherhood, something that she knew would never truly happen… but for now, she could at least pretend she had a break.
Brunilda’s mind once again came to the large brute that had taken it upon himself to help her raise her pups. She felt that the two of them had grown close in the previous months, and oftentimes she had caught herself wanting to be closer to him simply for seeing how he was with her children… if he could be so loving and fatherly to children that were not his own, how much more of a father would he be to those that shared his blood? And then she wondered how a wolf like him still had no one to call his mate… the idea simply confounded the violet-eyed female and she began to wonder if perhaps there was more to the handsome male that she had yet to discover. She found herself in the midst of a small clearing in the trees and came to a stop. She lowered her haunches into a sit and lifted her chin to let the warm sunlight wash over her now that it had a chance to reach her beneath the trees. She closed her eyes and just took in the quiet of the moment, one of her ears still somewhat alert and ready to catch any unusual sound.
