Hestia was...hesitant. She knew that if she wanted to go now would be the time. The tide had begun to recede a little while ago (the cooling and heating of the air and shift in the breeze giving her the indication fo time passing), and the entrance was no longer covered with a layer of water, this would give her the most time until she had to get out. However, her fear of being trapped in a waterway was persistent and she hesitated. Just a short little jaunt in she told herself, just a little while. Didn't all the heroes in her mother's stories take risks? With that thought, the female edged further and further into the tunnel. As soon as the salty air turned stagnant and the crust of the seaweed felt drier to her she felt her heart slow to a dull thump instead of the wild dance it had performed before. Really she just wanted to explore this set of tunnels (or was this just a different entrance?) before heading back. She was careful to not stray too far into the system, it must have looked strange to another wolf, female pacing around the open space, zigzagging in slow sometimes sideways motion to prevent any head-on collisions as she mapped out the space in her mind.
Eventually, she got to a fork in the tunnels and resovled to head back, while she was sure she still had plenty of time before the tide came in, and the waves sounded farther off in the distance than they would if they were right next to her she had satisfied enough of her curiosity and taken enough of a risk that day. Shaking herself slightly she thought about the shape of the space, the movements side to side and the distance to the entryway, she could tell the direction out was there, and the opening was wide so she should have enough room to just walk in that direction without bumping into anything.
