It had been a few days since the brown Srhaada, or at least prior Srhaada, had spoken with his counterpart, Kalique, about the future of Khalsa. With the disappearance of Kharak, they both knew it was time that they stepped up and took over as Rajahs in order to keep Khalsa together and thriving, and with that meant changes were coming. The pair had decided one a few vital changes for the empire and since those changes had been finalized, it was time for the two males to bring together the rest of the pack, everyone who remained at least since most of their scents had been scarce as of late, and announce them. Finding himself a section of open land, probably more or less where Kharak had stood to call forth the Ranis for the battles only months ago, the red-eyed brute lifted his maw and let a howl come forth, loud, low, and strong. His howl carried out over the lands of Khalsa easily as the wind carried it, there was no doubt in Beowulf’s mind that any members of the pack that were still around would hear him calling them forth.
When he lowered his muzzle again he looked around, certain that Kalique would be nearby and possibly even be one of the first to arrive. He wondered how many of them would actually show up and then further wondered how many may have tried to leave when they noticed the Rajah’s absence. He figured a couple of the Ganikas, name the less willing ones, would not be pleased with the change in leadership but he found that he simply did not care about that… after all, at the end of the day they were still part of Khalsa and therefore still under his and Kalique’s protection and guidance… as long as they stayed and did their duties to the pack they would be taken care of and (relatively at least) free of harm. The thought struck him that with Kalique and himself taking the title of Rajah, the two of them would be the only ones allowed to end a pack member’s life if they were insubordinate enough and he hoped the disgruntled Ganika of the pack came to understand that.
The red-eyed male lowered his haunches to the ground beneath him and looked out over the expansive desert that had been his home for the entirety of his life. He could not remember much of his youth, for all he knew he had been born elsewhere and brought here… anything that happened to him before the Burning was beyond his memory. Either way he could not believe that he was here, about to take over the pack for his beloved friend after his mysterious disappearance. “I will do right by you, Kharak.” the brute mumbled to himself before anyone else arrived.
