[attr="class","post"]The rains were coming in heavy, soaking the large wolf to the point he felt as though he might just go swimming, it would change nothing about his appearance as it was. He would feel less of his weight pulling him down against the earth with each step. The large male had been alone for a long time, certainly used to it. He was fine with it. He studied the world around him from strange animals to the sights and sounds. He was not a fighter, not like his father may have hoped or intended for, but he was dead now. This much he knew to be true. When the prospect of taking over the pack was an option, he fled. He did not want such responsibility for himself. Instead, he wanted to be free from it all. He wanted to feel as though he was his own wolf, not a slave to the whims of the pack or their needs. He hunted for himself, and led his whole life how he wanted to. If he were to be honest, he was disturbed by the passing of his mother more so than his father. Maybe it was their likeness in appearance (Isles Points) which made him feel closer to her, or maybe the nature of which she held herself.
He moved through the tall grasses, though not seemingly so tall compared to his height. Light eyes scanned the horizon. The dark clouds loomed over head with no sign of leaving anytime soon. He could hear the scurrying of paws near him, though he was not really concerned with it. There was a gathering of small creatures that fled from him as he moseyed through the lands. "You have nothing to fear," though he doubted they would be able to understand him. Nothing really caught his attention here, but it didn't stop him from leaving the area. He had much to think of and wonder where his paws would carry him. Though he was coming of age, multiplying seemed to be one of the last things on his mind. He didn't have much of a parental figure to follow after so he worried that he too would be a terrible father.
