The rocky terrain felt good beneath his feet. While lush grass was beautiful and soft, Ramses enjoyed the warmer climates of a desert setting. It was in his blood, his ancestors of old came from true sandy deserts of golden hills and hot, dry air that was perfectly pure of heavy humidity that made even walking difficult. Ramses was built for it, thrived I it and while true deserts were not really a terrain on Anikira the volcanic eruptions at least offered some kind of break from the cold north and jungle like southern parts.
The sun reigned the skies, high and bold as it should be. A sigil of Ra himself watching over his children below, fighting off darkness each and every day. Strong and courageous, determined to keep his creation safe from the evil that would be more than pleased to tear living creatures to shreds.
Ramses wished to be a worthy son. He was taught for birth about the purity of light and benefit of love. Lessons Ramses took to heart, meditated on as often as he could and prayed Nitocris would one day see it to. How could he lose her so completely? They were raised together, played together yet turned out so different and their relationship, once close and harmonious had turned sour. He loved her but his devotion to Ra could not allow him to let his sister spread her lies and misleading beliefs to the innocent. If only she could return to him, they could rule as Ptolemy wished they would before his death.
The sun cast it's light over the shiny gold fur of the King of Light! Comforting and understanding as Ra always was. The God knew his fair share of pain, seeing his own family also turn their backs on each other. Ramses must stay strong! Strong for his loyal followers, even as his heart broke over his dark sister.
