Amenti is a pack themed after the culture and religion of Ancient Egypt. They are the sister pack to Aelius sharing a similar culture and history. Amenti's members serve the deity of chaos Apep, worshipping him in place of the traditional God Ra. This pack is obsessed with all things considered to feed the chaos and many aspects of their life revolve around that obsession. While not outright evil they do tend to gravitate towards the darker aspects of life. Willing to cross the boundaries of what is considered normal this is a place for anyone wishing to fulfill a dark desire long left bottled up. They are neither matriarchal or patriarchal and treat all genders equally. They are a roaming pack and used their travels to teach others about their dark religion. Also tasked with the destruction of light they snuff it out whenever they come across it.

Apep, Apophis, Apepi, Apopi. So many names to describe him. The God of Chaos, worshipped against, despised more than any other deity. He was the true father to the packs, he who brought life to them all, he who ought to be worshipped. Having rightfully defeated Ra in their battle of the sky he deserved to rule over all. Ra's cowardly attempts to take him on would have failed had he not accepted the help of Set and Mehen. For they cut Apep open each and every night he swallowed Ra and his sun barge allowing the father of light to escape. It was the same story each and every night. Apep would defeat Ra only to be thwarted by the other Gods. They always interfered whenever the chaotic serpent came close to his victory. It was a blasphemy that no one gave the dark father his due since without dark there could not be light. He was so obviously the superior creator for he could survive without Ra, but Ra could not survive without him. There was no one on the side of the darkness, only those who reviled and prayed against Apep. That is until the birth of one rather extraordinary pup. Born with the mark of the serpent clear upon her forehead she had been destined to serve the dark lord from the beginning. There were two pups born into that litter: Ramses, the golden son, embodiment of all that was pure and light in the world, and Nitocris, the dark daughter, servent of chaos and daughter of Apep.
Remaining silent and ever dutiful in the presence of her parents she kept quiet about the fact that she was chosen. Not by their precious Ra but by another. Marked with the symbol of the serpent from her birth she had known since she was old enough to think. Nitocris was the reincarnation of the dark God of Chaos, having been chosen to bring about a change in the faith of the pack. He was ever present, whispering in her ears, telling her the truth of their heritage. Her parents were wrong and it was her duty to show them all the real God. As she grew however, her dark father kept her silent, taught her how to keep her true nature hidden. As far as her mother and father were concerned she was their precious daughter, determined and willing to lead their pack in the ways of the light. None knew of her true nature except her patron deity. He showed her the ways of chaos, allowed her to enjoy the freedom and pleasure that he offered. The dark way corrupted the young wolf taking her deeper and deeper until she was fully immersed in it. The further she went the harder and harder it became for her to return to the simple life she led with her parents. Time and time again she found her self desperate for the dark release he offered and would spend time away from her family.
After she reached the year mark of her life her mentor instructed her to begin the revolution, to spread the word that Apop was ready to take his rightful place as their patron God. The dark voice told her who to turn, who to choose, who to avoid. Those who were weak enough in their faith to be turned. Soon enough Nitocris had a good number of followers, those who had turned their lives around and devoted themselves to the service of Chaos. It was a freeing revolution because nothing was out of bounds within the realm of Chaos. Everyone was free to realize their darkest and deepest desires that had been once called sin under Ra. Nitocris reveled in it, thrived in the darkness that seemed to envelop everything around her. She was the true Pharaoh, beloved daughter of Apep, voice of the gods, and truth sayer. Too long had her people been drunk on the idea of a light god that was benevolent and kind. They didn't see the coward hidden by the light of the sun. His favor was as blinding as the sun, blazing and purifying in his love. So benevolent he was that he allowed his greatest servant Ptolemy to be killed along side his chosen Amunta. They had been off on a journey to convert others to their faith when they had been savagely killed by a group of loners. Such a perfect God that allowed his own followers to be murdered while they tried to serve him. Apep did not promise to protect his followers, instead he promised a place of chaos in the underworld. The purest form of what he offered them on earth.
With the Pharaoh's sudden death came a need for a successor, a new king to take up the helm of Ptolemy and lead their people to the light. Some wanted the fierce devotion of Nitocris, while others wanted the kind light of Ramses. Both had support of those within the pack, but eventually Ramses won the final bid for Pharaoh. His rule promised to be just as blasphemous as Ptolemy and that is what finally drove Nitocris into the light. Her true nature was revealed for all to see, for all to follow. She would not allow her people to remain under the boot of a cowardly God. One that did not deserve their adoration. They rejected her though, spat at her, cursed her, reviled her, banished her. Rather than staying to be purified by Ramses' heretics she had fled, taking those who were loyal with her. The dark voice demanding that she continue her chosen path, continued the revolution. Taking her chaotic brothers and sisters she formed her own pack, called Amenti for it would be a place for darkness to dwell. For Chaos to rule. She proclaimed herself Pharaoh, forming her own ranks and sending her followers out to spread the word. To convert those who had chosen the wrong path and to bring justice down on those who refused their way. While Ptolemy proclaimed peace she would not allow those who reviled her dark father to live. They would end up in the underworld, forever banished from the forgiving light of Ra. Each and everyday they got stronger, converting more and more to their cause, waiting for the right time to annihilate everyone in their path. Ramses and Aelius included.P A C K R U L E S1. Each new member will need to thread with Nitocris to discuss their rank within the pack.
